Magdalena del Mar, Lima, Perú Presentation Letter Dear Human Resources Representatives, I have a degree in Sociology from the PUCP and I am interested in education, data analysis and knowledge in general. On a personal level, I always try to be the best version of myself, to have a positive impact on the people around me and to never stop learning. I chose this profession because I am always questioning the why of the processes around me and, after researching about the role your organization takes on, I would like to be part of your team as we share a similar vision of what a more tolerant, integral and global society should be. On a work and research experience level, I have been involved in three major projects. Firstly, the development of my undergraduate thesis in which I investigated the variables that most influence the choice of the activity to follow after finishing school. Secondly, I participated in the PUCP and UNESCO project "gender violence and teenage pregnancy in rural schools in Cangallo, Ayacucho". Finally, I was part of a consultancy that aimed to update the social baseline of the San Rafael Mining Unit in relation to its areas of influence. These experiences made me realize how much there is to be done in the various regions of the country; a process to which I would like to contribute with my vision of a more democratic and inclusive world and with my ability to connect with others. As I mentioned at the beginning, I have a strong interest in education, which arose from my participation in two volunteer programs in Lima. First, I supported the "Educa Ancon" initiative, which seeks to improve the reading comprehension level of primary school children studying at the "Cesar Vallejo" school in Ancon. Second, I participated in the "EducaDando" project, which seeks to develop the soft skills of children in the community of "Nueva Esperanza" through alternative methodologies. Both experiences changed my life and awakened my taste for teaching and my interest in being an agent of change in my society. In short, I believe that I am a suitable person for the position because I have sufficient technical and professional skills and because I am committed to the world and country in which I live. Moreover, as I read from an author some time ago, "we are getting closer and closer to the constitution of a global society in which people are included with great joy and optimism"; a community of which I want to be part and assist with my values, worldview and words of encouragement. And finally, my interest in the human is such that "if people were open books, I would consider myself an avid reader". Atentamente, Italo Olano Raffo iolanor@pucp.edu.pe / 993307959
