COURSE DESCRIPTION
The course presents an introduction to the basic principles of shorthand and provides application and development of these principles in reading and writing exercises;
presentation and development of skills in English grammar, punctuation, and spelling as students transcribe in longhand dictated letters at 40 w0rds a minute on practice
material in a 3-minute dictation with 10-15% errors.
COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
After completing the course students can:
 Read and write shorthand strokes.
 Exhibit skills in English grammar, punctuation, and spelling as students transcribe in longhand dictated letters at 40 words a minute on practiced material in a 3minute dictation with 10-15% errors.
TEACHING STRATEGIES / DELIVERY MODES
Online (Hybrid Model
Blended (Asynchronous Model)
Online teleconferencing lecture/discussion is conducted There will be no classroom meet-ups.

TThS classes with two (2) hours per meeting.
However, web content resources are provided at regular
intervals.
Self-directed learning and/or home assignments are to
be spent with allocated two (2) hours per week.
Assessment and evaluation will be done at regular
intervals depending on the promptness of the
compliance of students to every assessment given.

Classroom lecture and discussion meet-ups is
