The bar chart illustrates how much mobile phones sold worldwide by the five
most popular companies in the years 2009,2011 and 2013.
From bar chart we can see that Nokia sold the most mobile phones from 2009
and 2011, but Samsung sold more mobile phones than other brands in 2013.
After that Samsung and Apple saw big rises in sales over the 5-year period. In
2009, Nokia sold about 450 million mobile phones, while Samsung sold half of
these so that Samsung was second most successful manufacture.
Over the following period of time, however, Nokia’s sales figures fell about 200
million units, whereas Samsung saw sales rise by a similar amount. In 2013,
Samsung was biggest company which was reached 450 million units.
The other the top selling mobile phones brands were LG, ZTE and Apple from
2009 and 2013. In 2009, these brands sold around 125 million, 50 million and 25
million mobile phones respectively, but Apple overtook the other two vendors
in 2011. In 2013, sales of Apple phones increased 150 million units, while ZTE
rose only slightly and LG saw declining sales.
