Final Assignment
For the final Assignment, you have two options:
1. Choose one of the following topics: tools and behaviors for being successful
as a manager in the 21st century, having the right mindset and perceptions
in our changing environment, transformation journey organizations go
through.
A. Compose a short introduction to the topic. B. Think and write about a
special dilemma, question, and unresolved issue within this topic. For
example, the new role of managers in organizations. Potential problems
of new organizational structures, agile processes vs. agile mindset etc.
C. Suggest how to cope with this issue. Include high-level strategies as
well as concrete actions.
2. Choose a case study related to our course topics. You can choose a case
study from a real organizational process that you experienced in your work,
or a case study from a consulting firm. In addition, it is possible to choose a
case study from a movie, a book or TV. (The case study should be from the
last two year).
A. Compose a short introduction to the topic case (describe the
organization and what kind of process it is facing). B. Analyze this case
and show how the organization dealt with this significant process. C.
Suggest additional ways to deal with this case, to improve the existing
situation.
You should demonstrate your understanding & analyze the topic or case, using
materials, concepts and models from the course. Apply the theories; show how
they were used & how they should have been used from your point of view. You
should include at least four main themes from the course. Please include
additional personal insights and lessons learned section.
At the end of the paper, you should write a one-page personal summary, related
to your personal learning journey in class. You should write a reflection, about
what you have learned and the material learned in class.
This exercise should include at least three academic articles and three other
articles that you have chosen to include. Wikipedia etc. are not considered
references for academic papers.
All sources (including internet sources) used in the preparation of any written
work for this course must be fully cited; otherwise, it is considered plagiarism.
This is true whether direct passages are used or if you are just paraphrasing.
Please write in a clear concise manner and follow the instructions. The paper
should be no longer than six pages, including the personal reflection. 12”
