Hartwig 1 Kenneth Hartwig Professor Comstock Management Theory and Practice 16 March 2023 Personality Reflection My reactions to the types of questions asked were very thoughtful and really had me thinking sometimes. It made me look at things in a new perspective. I did not really find the description of my results surprising. My personality type was ESTJ which makes a lot of sense. The reason why it makes sense is because I am definitely an extrovert, I love being around people and feed of their energy. Also, with being a sensor I tend to look for a solution to a problem. As a thinker I like to be right it just makes me feel good. Finally, as a judger I would say I am pretty organized. I think there is somewhat of a relationship between personality testing and jobs. I feel myself and other students did think the test results were an accurate picture of our personalities. If I was a manager trying to hire a particular type of employee I think the MBTI-like personality tests can help or hinder companies in the search for employees. I feel the MBTI-like personality tests can help because if they are looking for a certain role it can help filter out choices that don’t fit. At the same time though it can hinder companies because the test is just an indicator which does not always mean that a person will always have the same personality every day.
