In Assignment 1, this learner could compare the design and features of the identified websites, consider the
suitability of the websites features and design for the intended purpose and audience. Moreover, this learner could
analyse how web design and development principles are used, provide a supported evaluation of how well each
website meets the needs of the website owner and its users. Finally, this learner could evaluate any positive or
negative aspects of the two sites by using specified examples of those to support the points in assignment.
In Assignment 2, firstly, this learner could identify the user requirements, produce visual designs (wireframe) for the
pages with some alternative design options and technical documentation, and review the website design proposals
with others to identify and inform improvements in which suggested changes, which didn’t. Secondly, this learner
could produce a website using sublime text and visual studio code tools for functionality, compatibility and usability
via appropriate test plans and testing, and review by others to which the website meets client requirements with
‘before’ and ‘after’ version. Moreover, in visual design phase, this learner could justify the design decisions, explaining
how they will meet the user’s needs and be fit for purpose, and in development phase, could optimise own website
to meet client requirements. Additionally, this learner could evaluate the design and optimise website against client
requirements supported by evidence from all stages of the project to reach conclusions and suggest developments,
and could demonstrate individual responsibility, creativity and effective self-management in design and
development.
