How to improve your diet
These days many people are trying to eat more healthy food. Read
our advice on how to improve your diet.
Eat more fruit and vegetables
Doctors recommend that everyone should eat at least five portions
of fruit and vegetables every day. To eat more, you could:
• include berries with your breakfast
• have salad or soup for lunch
• eat an apple as a snack.
Cut down on sugar and salt
Eating too much sugar can lead to an increase in weight and
problems with teeth, and too much salt increases blood pressure.
Read food labels to understand how much sugar and salt are in
your food. Don’t add sugar to tea or coffee, or salt to food.
Plan your meals
It’s important to plan meals to make sure you have a balanced
diet. Take a list when shopping so you only buy the food you need.
Buying only what you need will also stop you wasting food.

Last night
Hi Lianne
I wanted to let you know about my exciting experience yesterday. I saw
Rick North in concert at Brookfield Arena. He is my favourite male singer.
The concert started at 8 pm. I got there at 7 pm as I wanted to stand at the
front. The support act came on first, and they were OK, but it was Rick we
were really waiting for!
He came on stage at 9 pm and the crowd went crazy. The show was great
because he performed all his hits and we all sang along. The light show was
amazing as well. He finished at 11 pm but the time passed so quickly.
I was really sad when the concert finished, so I bought some souvenirs
to cheer myself up. I bought a T-shirt, a hat and a poster to help me to
remember the evening. The concert cost me a fortune, but it was worth
every penny.
