Technical Project Manager Introduction Investigo are looking for an experienced Project Manager with a technical Telecoms background to lead the delivery of Gigabit wireless broadband networks through design, build and commissioning. Telecoms experience is essential, with broadband network implementation being highly beneficial. Ability and attitude to ‘hit the ground running’ and work to tight deadlines Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities: • • • • • • • • • Construct and manage project plans for specific builds in the delivery of rural Gigabit wireless networks in a variety of locations to required cost, timing and quality Manage deliverables, their tracking and monitoring, and the quality of completion Engage with stakeholders across the business and supplier-base, including non-technical functions, as necessary to ensure achievement of objectives Maintain records of issues, risks, assumptions and dependencies as they arise and are progressed, including leading team-wide communication and review as necessary Produce and maintain progress reports for tracking the above, including highlighting any issues or risks requiring attention, and supporting programme or business reporting as necessary Drive resolution of issues and mitigation of risks with the technical team, programme, and wider business Lead regular project and technical reviews, ensuring optimum communication of project status and next steps Manage technical and non-technical changes, including engagement with the leadership to gain approval as appropriate Demonstrate exemplary business behaviours and clear thinking, working in a structured and methodical way, to coach and guide the business in best practice ways of working Skills & Experience Required: 1. Extensive experience of Project Management in a technical Telecoms environment with ability to interact and lead the non-technical and customer-facing elements 2. Relevant technical university degree or equivalent industry experience 3. Experience of Gigabit wireless networks and their implementation 4. Commercial awareness with regard to costing of projects and their business impact 5. Experience of managing disparate and remote teams 6. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications 7. Strong communication and ability to build excellent relationships 8. Strong organisational & time management skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines in a calm and controlled manner 9. Resilient, persistent and enthusiastic; an individual able to deliver results to agreed time targets, capable of dealing with changing priorities 10. Adaptable and self-motivating 11. An eye for detail Experience Preferred: 1. A recognised Project Management certification or qualification 2. A practical problem solver 3. Business & financial acumen and analytical capability Additional Information • • • Likely to be inside IR35, with final status based on a jointly completed status determination Remote, but with travel (estimated at 10 days per month) to the north London office or build locations UK-wide Initial 6-month contract with likelihood to extend for an exceptional candidate
