By their theories. ➧ Social inequality can be said to be heart of sociology, By pursuing it, the discipline is able to give a face a social realities. ➧ The social forces are so invisible and most of the time taken for granted that people assume that they are natural. ➧ The atmosphere of being natural makes social inequality impenetrable to rough feedback as humanism concern. ➧ Associated with the bearing of children doing the household chores and carrying subordinate responsibilities. ➧ Social inequality - ascribed in a majority rule and civilised society. There are three types of social inequality by capital. ➧ Social capital - is the capacity collective to act together to seek after a common objective. 5 | Page ➧ Political capital - refers to trust goodwill influence possessed by a political actor. ➧ Translated to the individual in society. ➧ This would be a function not only of resources but also familiarity with the political process. ➧ One also politically literate and is knowledgeable of the policy and political process. Symbolic Capital - Refers to resources ➧ The one also politically literate and is knowledgeable of the policy and political process ➧ That one process which is a function of honour, prestige, recognition, or any other trait that one valves within a culture. ➧ And also it can influence the ability of someone to access to opportunities in society. ➧ Women have continuously been obliged by social orders to have an auxiliary predisposition. ➧ Men are seen in numenos societies as normal pioneers and are agreed or more social and political rights. ➧ Women seem not allowed to claim property and they may not indeed drive their own cars. ➧ In modern societies, there are still Inequalities against the ladies. ➧ Equality in women representation in numerous legislatures in the world has yet to be realised. ➧ Also women endure harassment within the workplace and also they are victimized by sexual assault and violence. 6 | Page ➧ Numerous women are still subjected to domestic violence and abuse. ➧ A comparative circumstance is faced by lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender in the part of (LGBT) community. ➧ They are mocked and descrimination by a society that considers them abnormalities or shape of deviancy. ➧ The individuals of the (LGBT community) struggle to win recognition for their gracious rights especially the same sex marriage. ➧ Ethnics minorities are the subjected to discrimination. ➧ The cultural (marginalisation) that they suffer from the dominant culture majorities. ➧ Ancestral lands of Ethnic Group are either forcibly taken away from them in the guise of project developments. PWD (Persons With Disabilities) ➧ Are also part of discrimination they are also one of the target because their disabilities. ➧ They are also do not usually enjoy the benefits that people without disabilities receive. ➧ the Real Life situation of Social inequality. ➧Tulad ng aking nakita na may badjao (Ang Sinitta Sap) ang na diskriminasyon sapagkat baba sila sa isang kinabibilangan 1: We can address this issue through policy legislation and promoting cultural transformation. Policy legislation basically means to fight this issue using laws and/or by implementing more laws to protect the rights of women and LGBTQ+ genders. PWD citizens are also affected with social inequality where they aren't given the same opportunities as "normal" people. Policy Legislation helps protect a person with disease with a law that doesn't tolerate discrimination and/or humiliation against them. 2: Another way of addressing social inequality is through Promoting cultural transformation. From the word itself, cultural transformation, it means to change the society's perspective of sexes, genders, and disabilities. With this, we can help conservatives and/or problematic people to be more open minded and teach them about how we can avoid discriminating others. -Inequality exists not only between social orders and states, but also within states. Some states are wealthier and more effective than others. These privileged states are likely to become more powerful within the global community. This results in a situation of global inequality, in which poorer and less powerful states are 8 | Page controlled and influenced by wealthier and more powerful states. A mutual defence agreement between the Philippines and the US, for example, could be implemented to respond to global social inequality. Unfortunately, while this provides some semblance of security for the Philippines by establishing the parameters for when the US can assist us in times of external aggression from another country, it also reinforces our unequal relations with the US. However, inequality can also be caused by a state's relative strength in terms of strategic importance or development assistance. Oil-producing countries, for example, tend to have more clout. States that send official development assistance (ODA) to other countries are well positioned to impose policy conditions on the states that receive their funds in the form of grants or loans. Military strength can also be a source of inequality, as states with superior military capabilities can bully nations with inferior military capabilities. The situation between China and the Philippines in the West Philippine Sea is a clear example of this unequal relationship. China infiltrates our domains and claims them as part of their territory, taking advantage of our weaker naval defences. Global inequality can also be seen in the operations of multinational corporations and organisations that operate on a global scale. Many of these enterprises are as powerful as, if not more powerful than, individual states. Private organisations wield enormous power, which they can use to influence the economies of the countries into which they have ventured. The World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) are in a unique position to have a massive impact on the countries that are bound by them because they can manage economic policies in order to meet loan conditions. 1. e - One way to address global social inequality is through organisations like the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). The assumption, which is not always true, is that the formation of regional groups can provide numerical strength. The main disadvantage is that, despite the presence of ASEAN, individual members may be compelled to assist others due to the policy of noninterference, in which members are hesitant to intervene in the foreign and domestic affairs of another country. For example, there is no firm ASEAN position on the West Philippine Sea dispute between the Philippines and China. . - A mutual defence agreement between the Philippines and the US, for example, could be implemented to respond to global social inequality. The Philippines has signed these treaties, which bind other signatories to a different protocol. Any violation of these agreements can be used to file an appeal with the International Court of Justice (ICJ). For example, China's incursion into our territories is presumed to be a violation of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS). 10 | Page Activity Mechanics Step1: The activity facilitator will instruct the student to count-off from one to five.
