H/W Science Revision-Energy 23/4/22 Nine main forms of Energy Kids Never Hate Learning GCSE Energy is a good way to remember all forms of Energy it goes, K-Kinetic C-Chemical N-Nuclear S-Sound H-Heat/Thermal E-Elastic L-Light G-Gravitational Potential How to calculate efficiency of energy To calculate the efficiency of energy you must divide your useful energy by the total energy and then multiply that result by 100, this will show you the percentage of the efficient energy, this is used to find out how efficient things are and how much wasted energy is released in items, devices are made to have as little wasted energy as possible to make it as efficient as possible. How to calculate Work Done The calculation for work done is Force (N) x Distance (M) = Work Done (J) there is also a work done triangle Work Done divided by the Force equals the Distance, Work Done divided by the Distance equals the Force and Force multiplied by Distance is the Work Done. Energy Transfers Energy Transfers is when one energy store transfers into another energy store for example when you run the energy stored is Chemical Energy which is inside your muscles transfers into Kinetic Energy once you start running. Power Work Done divided by Time is Power, Power is measured in Newtons (N), Work Done divided by Power is Time which is mostly measured with seconds minutes and hours, and finally Time multiplied by Power is Work Done which is measured in Joules (J).
