(2) In exceptional cases, applicants for the directing major may also be admitted without a general higher education entrance qualification if they can prove that they have special artistic talent. (3) For applicants for the field of studysingingthe recommendation applies that you should not be younger than 18 years of age when you begin your first semester of study and that you have not yet reached the age of 24. (5) Foreign applicants who do not have a German higher education entrance qualification must have sufficient knowledge of the German language. Evidence of this is provided by: 1. A language certificate at level B 2.2 according to the Council of Europe's Framework of Reference for Languages. 2. In the music-theoretical parts of the examination of the admission procedure, it must be proven that subject-related German-language communication and study requirements exist. (6) If the language certificate according to paragraph 5 number 1 is not available in time or if the required German-language understanding and study requirements cannot be proven according to paragraph 5 number 2, admission is granted subject to the condition that the applicants have received the language certificate according to paragraph 5 number 1 or the German-language communication and study requirements according to paragraph 5 number 2 before enrollment. The university is entitled to grant admission in these cases with the following conditions for enrollment: 1. Submission of the required language certificate with a deadline. 2. Participation in a chargeable intensive German course at the university before the semester. If the applicants do not meet the requirements, enrollment will be refused and admission will expire. § 3 - Start of studies, application deadlines and application for admission (1) The bachelor’s degree in music begins in all offered fields of study in the winter semester and/ or in the summer semester after the resolution has been passed by the academic senate of the university.Participation in the admission procedure according to § 4 requires an application. Applications addressed to the university may only be submitted via the university’s application portal provided for this purpose within the deadline set by the Academic Senate (cut-off deadline). The application only applies to the allocation of study places for the relevant application date. Registration for the admission procedure is binding. The university provides information on its website at least 6 months in advance about the decisions of the Academic Senate on the implementation of admission procedures for the winter semester and/or summer semester for the courses offered and the deadlines for applications. (2) The following information and documents must be attached to the application for admission – in the case of certificates and evidence, certified copies: 1. Personal data according to the Student Data Ordinance (StudDatVO), 2. The submitted documents remain with the university and are deleted in accordance with § 4 StudDatVO. § 4 - Admission procedure and pre-selection (1) Admission procedures take place for admission to study at the university. (2) Those who have successfully passed an entrance exam can be admitted. In the entrance exam, the applicant must prove his/her artistic/particular artistic talent, skills and knowledge in the prescribed parts of the exam, which indicate that a successful course of study can be expected in accordance with age and level of training. (3) The entrance exams for the winter semester take place at the end of the lecture period of the summer semester and the entrance exams for the summer semester at the end of the lecture period of the winter semester. The entrance examination dates are determined by resolution of the Academic Senate of the university and announced on the university's website. (4) An electronic, IT-supported record is made of the admission test with the reasons for the decision on each individual tested section of the test. The preselection committees are set up by the relevant departmental council. (6) The pre-selection can be carried out based on the videos, sound recordings, compositions, directing concepts and other performance records sent in for application purposes before the entrance exam, either by viewing or as a practical test in the run-up to the entrance exam. (7) For applications within the framework of theErasmus/ Socrates programmeand at exchange studentsuniversities with which there are contractual agreements, a professional assessment must also be carried out instead of the entrance examination. Scholarship recipients from theGerman academic exchange service(DAAD) or other organizations have to take part in an entrance examination. § 3 applies accordingly to all applications. (8) The entrance exams take place, if necessary after the pre-selection, at the invitation of the university. They are generally valid for enrollment in the following semester. Exceptions require the approval of the respective department. (9) Participation in the admission procedure is subject to a fee. The obligation to pay a fee arises with the application. Applicants who do not comply with the payment obligation within the set period are excluded from the further procedure. 3 § 5 – Admissions Committees (1) The admissions committee is responsible for carrying out the admissions process. You make the necessary decisions. At least 3 examiners must be present for main subject examinations and at least 2 examiners for compulsory subject examinations. (2) The admissions committees, including their chairpersons and their respective deputies, are appointed by the academic senate of the university based on a proposal from the departmental councils of the relevant specialist departments. They consist of an odd number of members. The term of office is two academic years. The admissions committees include only full-time professors and academic staff with independent teaching activities and, in exceptional cases, lecturers with independent teaching activities. Only full-time professors can chair and deputy chair an admissions committee. (3) The full-time professors have the majority in the admissions committees. Exceptions to sentence 1 and paragraph 2 sentence 5 can be decided for admissions committees in subjects for which there is no or only one full-time professor. (4) Two students from the same major take part in the meetings of an admissions committee with the right to speak. At the suggestion of the student department council member, they are appointed via the department council by the university's academic senate as advisory members of the admissions committee. Abstentions are not permitted. § 6 - Entrance exams (1) The entrance exams for the bachelor’s degree in music consist of the following exam parts in all artistic disciplines: 1. main subject, 2. Compulsory subject or minor subject piano, 3. compulsory subject composition, 4. Compulsory Ear Training and 5. Aptitude interview, if applicable. (2) The detailedSubject requirements for the individual parts of the examinationresult from the Attachmentthis order. The subject requirements are not part of the entrance and admissions regulations and are to be checked by the departmental councils for the individual fields of study before each application semester. (3) The order of the individual examinations in the admissions procedure is determined by the responsible admissions committee. The committee is entitled to interrupt or cancel the main subject examination. The admission procedure is terminated prematurely if the applicant cannot provide evidence of artistic/particular artistic talent in the chosen major. In this case, there is no entitlement to take all parts of the admission procedure. (4) The entrance exam is passed if each of the partial exams prescribed for the subject has been successfully completed. § 7 – Exemption from individual entrance examination subjects (1) Applicants for an undergraduate course who have already studied at another domestic RKM music university (change of university from one 4 domestic university) are exempt from the entrance exam in the compulsory subjects piano, composition, ear training and, if applicable, the aptitude interview if proof of enrollment is presented. (2) If you have previously studied at a foreign university, you can be exempted from the compulsory subjects piano, composition, ear training and the aptitude interview if the application contains an informal application and corresponding proof of performance for the equivalence test.
