from its farms in Kenya and Ethiopia and outsourced farms in Tanzania and Zimbabwe.
Established in 1988, the company’s activities encompass the entire flower value chain including
collaboration with flower breeders, flower farming, logistics and marketing. Marginpar BV markets
and distributes most of its flower production through FloraHolland Flower Auctions.
Marginpar has established an Environmental and Social Management System (“ESMS”) to
evaluate risks and impacts associated with its operations and monitor ongoing Environmental,
Social and Governance (“ESG”) performance. The purpose of the ESMS is to ensure compliance
with the requirements of the following:

United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights;
Local legislation, rules, regulations and statutory requirements
Certification requirements for key sustainability certification organizations and business
membership organisation;
All other relevant sustainable business requirements.
This Framework documents that system, and describes its various elements and the structures
that have been put in place to implement and maintain the system. Marginpar is committed to
continually improving this system and will do so through regular reviews and updates and the
application of the ‘plan-do-check-act’ cycle.
