MY ON-THE-JOB TRAINING EXPERIENCE This journey has been a meaningful one in my path as a student. I am about to elaborate the lessons I have learned and the things that made an impact in my well being. One of the webinars that I found very important was on May 7th. I attended a webinar in ReSkills, which I watched live on Zoom, entitled “Emotional Intelligence at Work” with Ms. Swati Jain, ReSkills Ambassador. After the webinar discussion, we need to give feedback, take assessments and need to have a consuming time of 75 minutes or more to receive a certificate. Ms. Swati Jain talks about the “Emotional Skills We Need to Develop at Work” The first is Emotional Competency; in order to succeed, we must be able to control our emotions. It also leads to successful communication with coworkers and supervisors. The second is emotional maturity, which will allow us to have a clear mind.with the objective of achieving it, and will understand what is right and bad, as well as how to attain it In order to conceive of a solution at work, we act and cope with the situations we encounter. Emotional sensitivity is the third factor; other people are sensitive to their feelings. We will feel as if we are carrying all of the weight of our intense and negative emotions. Heavy work on the job will lead to a problem that is linked to our previous feelings. We will experience tremendous feelings as though we are in that situation. I learned from this webinar debate that we should not let our emotions govern us. We should be able to control our emotions and not let them affect our daily lives and work. We must be mindful of our emotions in order to think more clearly and concentrate. To the positive, which will assist us in forgetting our negative feelings. We should be joyful all of the time since it will help us live a better life and have stronger and more resilient bodies. Improved interpersonal relationships. Having to spend most of my on-the-job training online is a new experience. One of the challenges I faced is finding appropriate free webinars related to my field. I am able to adjust and cope in the online training instead of having it done face-to-face. It is also important to know and remember the lessons in every webinar that I took which is possible by doing takeaways weekly. I am also grateful because the webinars helped me widen my knowledge when it comes to my course. As a Business related student, the webinar entitled, “Building Business with Empathy” made an impact in my journey. The webinar really did help me and taught me a lot of lessons that I can use in the future. The first thing that I recall from the webinar was all about empathic leadership and the important things we need to consider by being an empathic leader. Empathic leadership Is the ability to understand the needs of others and being aware of their feelings and thoughts. What I have learned from this webinar is to become more aware of others' feelings and be considerate with those difficulties that every person is experiencing. Just like what has been said in this webinar, we should act empathically because all of us have different hardships and difficulties. So whenever there are people who are suffering from loss or experiencing those difficulties we should support and help them even in a small way. The people who are suffering from those losses are the ones who deserve to be treated in a nice way so we should always be good to them and let them know that there are shoulders they can rely on.
