on OS maps as a way to
pin-point exactly where
you are or what you are
looking for.
All maps follow the same
Grid Reference structure
so once you have learnt it
you can use it on any map.
Grid references will help
you navigate a map at
speed because the
numbers are always on it!
All maps have
numbers along the
bottom and up the
left side!
