Batang Lutayanon on Mass Dance Competition: Black Mamba WINS

Held January 20, 2023 was the 26th Intramurals of Lutayan National High School. The event was a
massive event that was filled with different competitions such as sports, academic, and talent shows.
One of the highlights of the Intramurals 2023 was the Mass Dance Competition. In the said event, three
groups competed against each other. Each group had the same music, which is the upbeat and energetic
Galaw Pilipinas.
The Mass Dance Competition was a fun and exciting event that showcased the students' talent and
creativity in dancing. The three groups, composed of students from different grade level, prepared for
weeks to perfect their routines. The competition was judged based on the groups' synchronization, energy,
and overall performance.
First to perform was the Orange Dragon from Grade 7 and Grade 12. Their performance was energetic
and lively, but the judges noted that their synchronization was a bit off. Nevertheless, they received a
warm round of applause from the audience.
Second to perform was the Brown Eagle from Grade 8 and Grade 11. Their performance was more
synchronized than the first group, and their energy level was off the charts. The judges were impressed
with their performance, but they noted that their routine lacked creativity because of their insufficient
props and dull costume.
Last to perform was the Black Mamba from Grade 9 and Grade 10 – marked by the awe-applauding
characteristics of the middle team head lead by Coach Kalyn Joy Apura showed great creativity in their
routinely dance move. Their synchronization and energy level were on par with the second group, but
they added their unique twist to the routine.
The Mambas created an impact that have shutted the dance floor. Three gigantic snakes and fierce facepainted make-ups have boosted the audience attention to their swift moves. They were in fact snakes in a
hollow shell waiting to devour their opponents.
The Mass Dance Competition having a large number of contestants among all the competition goes to
show that every Batang Lutayanon foster a great spirit in showcasing their talent and skill in cooperative
dancing and encourage students in extracurricular activities.
