Dear Carlos Emilio Proaño,
Congratulations! You have been selected for membership in the Academia Cotopaxi’s Chapter
of the National Honor Society. You and your family can be very proud of this accomplishment. Your
selection is based upon careful consideration of your scholarship, service, leadership, and character
by our chapter’s faculty council.
Admission into the NHS is a significant accomplishment. However, it is a beginning, not an
ending. The hard work is ahead of you. By accepting our invitation to join the NHS, you will have to
dedicate yourself to greater community service, do everything you can to represent the core values
and other ideals on which Academia Cotopaxi stands, and be a positive leader in the community. We
will expect you to follow through on what you’ve written in your application essay. We have no doubt
that you will exceed our expectations.
Although you will receive an invitation soon, I want to make sure that you schedule on your
calendars the NHS induction ceremony. It will take place on Thursday, October 27 at 5:30 pm in the
HS Commons. We cordially invite you and your guardians to share in this important ceremony.
We are proud of you for earning this recognition and hope that you will accept this invitation to
become an active member of our chapter.
