People tend to spend different amounts of money and time for lunch and dinner depending on the type of restaurant they pick. A person might decide to go to a sit-down restaurant, cafeteria or fast-food restaurant depending on convenience and preference. The average cost of lunch spent at a sit-down restaurant is $10, while the amount spent at a cafeteria is $7 and the amount spent at a fast-food restaurant is $4.50. We can see that people tend to spend the most money at a sit-down restaurant and spend the least amount of money at a fast-food restaurant. This is probably because of the diversification of their menus. Seeing as sit-down restaurants will have more varieties than fast-food restaurants. The time spent eating lunch is 40 minutes for sit-down, 30 for cafeteria and 20 for fast-food. People spend more time at sit-down because taken from the name, you go there when you are not in a rush to sit down and enjoy your food. While in the cafeteria, you spend a relatively short time because cafeterias are built in offices and you will probably have a time limit to the time spent there. People go to fast-food restaurants for a quick bite and leave which explains the relatively short time spent at a fat-food. People also tend to spend more on dinner than lunch because it is the last meal of the day. For example in sit-down restaurants, the average cost of dinner is $2 higher than that of lunch. This is the same in the cafeteria and fast-food restaurant with a $2.50 and $0.50 increase in both respectively. We have seen the many different types of restaurants, their main features, similarities and contrasts as well as the reason for these similarities. We have also analyzed people’s behavior and actions when it comes to cost and time spent in different restaurants. We have come to the conclusion that people sprnd more money and time at sit-down restaurants and also spend more on dinner than lunch.
