Shapes are spaces that are created when a line reconnects with itself. Children, There are five basic shapes. So what are those shapes? This are Circle, square, rectangle, oval and triangle. 2. Discussion Let’s talk about circle first. A circle is a shape that is made up of a curved line. It's round, and all points on the curved line are an equal distance from the center point. This shape is two-dimensional, which means it's flat. Example of cirle are ball, electric fan, ring, bracelet, sun ,etc. Next we learn about squares. There are many squares around us. Example are box, chess baord, etc. Squares have four straight sides that are all the same length or size. Next is rectangles. Rectangles are most like squares, but their sides are not all the same size. Example of rectangle are television, notebook, envelope, folder, laptop Next is oval. An oval shape is a 2D shape, similar to an egg, that has no straight lines and vertices. The oval shape has one flat face, which does no self-intersect at any point. Another way to describe an oval shape is by saying that it is similar to a smooshed circle, a circle that is elongated in a way. Example of oval are egg, avocado, football, sweet diana, etc. And lastly, triangle. A triangle is a shape with three sides ,three angles and it has pointy heads. Example of triangles are cone, witch cap, slice of pizza, etc. Did you understand our lesson children? 3. Generalization Very good children, to test if you really understand our topic.
