ONLINE CLASS AND LEARNING GUIDELINES
In implementing these guidelines, compassion and leniency shall be upheld as
much as possible without however, sacrificing academic excellence.
● Conduct of Online Classes - In accordance with Section 3 of LEBMC No. 67,
s. 2020, reasonable parameters shall be implemented during the conduct of all
academic activities by professors. In the conduct of academic activities, it is strongly
recommended that classes follow a 50-50 proportion where 50% of the classes shall
be synchronously delivered and 50% held through asynchronous learning,
depending on the circumstances of each subject/class.
● Synchronous Learning - a type of instructional delivery where the
instructor and the students interact in real time usually through a virtual
platform enabled by communication technology.
● Asynchronous Learning – a type of instructional delivery where the
instructor and the students do not interact in real time. This may include
self-guided learning modules, recorded video and audio content, posted
lecture notes, online discussion boards, and similar methods. These
asynchronous learning materials may be accessed by the students
according to their own pace.
▪
Completion of Asynchronous activities shall be submitted at

late submission may be accepted at the discretion of the
