INTRODUCTION
In a world deeply divided, we stand at the edge of a perilous and
irreversible abyss. Our planet is under attack. Every day, we witness
the devastating consequences of human activities that are
destroying the natural world. Climate change, pollution,
deforestation, and overconsumption are just some of the many
challenges we face in our struggle to protect the Earth. Make no
mistake - this is a fight for our survival. The fate of our planet and all
its inhabitants hangs in the balance. We cannot afford to be
complacent or apathetic. We must take urgent action to protect
the Earth and all its precious resources. Bold and innovative
solutions are needed, and we must harness the power of science,
technology, and collective action to create a sustainable future for
all.
Revolutionary progress is made possible
through collective effort and
cooperation.

INTRODUCTION
Earth Ignite is a forum that enables collaboration, innovation, and
ideation. This summit aims to be a dynamic and engaging event,
exploring the best practices and cutting-edge solutions for
ecological sustainability through various agendas and topics.
Recognizing the need for youth to take charge, this summit is
entirely student-led, empowering young students to become
change-makers. As future leaders, innovators, and visionaries
who will shape the world, we want this summit to provide a
platform where students of all ages can showcase their creative
and innovative ideas while also learning from one another.
Students of grades 5 through 12 are invited to participate and
engage in mind-opening research and discussions.
Please remember that the summit is not a forum for attacking or
dismissing each other's ideas. Rather, it is an opportunity for us to
work together, share our perspectives, and collaborate to develop
effective solutions. We believe that by working side by side, we
can rise to the challenges we face and make a meaningful impact
on the world. Let us approach this summit with an open mind, a
willingness to listen and learn from each other, and a shared
commitment to creating a sustainable future. Together, we can
ignite change, promote sustainability, and create a better future for
all.

Sustainable Living: Actions for a Greener Future
Corporate Social Responsibility and Resource
Conservation to Green Finance and Investments in
Renewable Energy.
Sustainable living refers to a lifestyle that seeks to reduce a
person's or a community's negative impact on the environment,
society, and economy. It involves adopting practices that promote
long-term sustainability and a greener future. The concept of
sustainable living has gained immense popularity in recent years
due to the growing concern over the depletion of natural
resources, environmental degradation, and climate change.
This topic covers a wide range of areas, from corporate social
responsibility and resource conservation to green finance and
investments in renewable energy. Corporate social responsibility
refers to a company's obligation to operate in a way that benefits
society and the environment while also delivering value to its
shareholders. Resource conservation involves using resources
wisely, reducing waste, and recycling. Green finance involves
investing in environmentally sustainable projects and businesses,
while renewable energy refers to energy sources that are
replenished naturally, such as solar, wind, and hydropower.
As summit participants, you are expected to collaborate and
focus your efforts on researching and discovering new and
creative solutions, focused on the aforementioned fields
which will help attain sustainable living.

SUMMIT COUNCILS
Intermediate Council (Grades 8 to 10)
Empowering the Transition to Renewable Energy
Innovation, Deployment, and Efficiency of
Renewable Energy Technologies, Storage, and Grid
Systems.
The transition to renewable energy is a critical component of the
global effort to mitigate the impacts of climate change. This
requires a shift away from fossil fuels and towards renewable
energy sources such as solar, wind, and hydroelectric power.
However, this transition is not just about switching energy sources
but also about innovating, deploying, and improving the efficiency
of renewable energy technologies, storage, and grid systems.
Innovation is a key driver of the transition to renewable energy. It
involves developing new technologies and improving existing ones
to make them more efficient, affordable, and scalable. However, it
is not just enough to develop these systems, we need to find a way
to deploy them at a large scale.
Moreover, the efficiency of renewable energy technologies,
storage, and grid systems is another essential aspect of the
transition to renewable energy. This requires advanced
technologies and systems that can effectively manage energy
supply and demand, storage, and distribution.
As summit participants, you are expected to come up with
cutting-edge solutions to facilitate a seamless shift to
renewable energy, while maximizing the efficiency and
deployment of storage and grid systems.

Building a Circular Economy
Embracing Circular Business Models, Sustainable
Production and Consumption Strategies, Zero
Waste, and Resource Efficiency.
The concept of a circular economy has gained increasing attention
in recent years as a sustainable and effective approach to
economic development. A circular economy seeks to minimize
waste and resource depletion by designing out waste and
pollution, keeping products and materials in use, and regenerating
natural systems. This reduces waste and pollution and creates
new economic opportunities through the development of circular
value chains and the promotion of product-as-a-service models.
Sustainable production and consumption strategies aim to
minimize the environmental impact of products and services
throughout their life cycle. This involves implementing sustainable
design practices, using renewable energy and materials, and
adopting environmentally friendly production processes while
achieving zero waste by diverting all waste from landfills and
incinerators, reducing waste generation, increasing recycling and
composting, and promoting waste-to-energy technologies.
Improving resource efficiency involves maximizing the value and
utility of resources through efficient use, reuse, and recycling.
As summit participants, you are expected to foster
discussions and collaborate with each other in an attempt to
drive the transition toward a more sustainable and circular
economy.

must submit a research paper on a relevant agenda related to
any of the subjects mentioned above. However, it is important to
note that the subject chosen must currently be studied by the
individual. The paper should, be based on approaches,
methodologies, processes, techniques, and frameworks, that
can be implemented to achieve the goal of the council. (For Eg:
Frameworks to implement the use of Green Chemistry in
achieving sustainability) The deadline for submission is 11:59 pm
on June 13th, 2023, three days prior to the summit. Guidelines
and formatting details will be provided later on in this document.
The papers will be graded and may serve as 5% of the Multiple

accordingly, as they will be required to understand and speak on
what they have written.
During the summit on June 17th, 2023, we will engage in
discussions on the agenda and its various sub-topics and subjects.
It is crucial to note that participants are not restricted to
discussing the specific subject they chose for their paper, and
are encouraged to broaden their horizons. The exact Rules of
Procedure (ROP) will be discussed later in this document, and it is
imperative that all participants adhere to them to ensure a smooth
working council and a positive experience for all. The main
objective of the summit is to create a solution document
outlining the innovative and creative ideas generated throughout
the day. It is essential to keep in mind that the summit is a
platform for collaboration, and not for attacking or dismissing each
other's ideas. Therefore, participants must work together, share
perspectives, and collaborate to develop effective solutions.
