Buyer’s Registration Process
Stages to create Buyer/HoD Account

1. HoD Account creation. (Verification of HoD Aadhaar & Official Email ID)

2. HoD profile address. (Provide HoD Organisation, Department, and other official details)

3. HoD VA approval request. (Send approval request to VA - Verifying Authority)

4. HoD Profile completion. (Provide Organisation Address, Payment Method & Personal Information)

5. Division & Secondary User addition. (HoD can add multiple division & Secondary users)
Login and Search “GeM” on DSP. By Clicking on “GeM” icon
it will re-direct to GeM Registration Page.
Click on “Create Buyer Account” Button to create HoD
Account.
Enter Aadhaar details of HoD and click on “Verify Aadhaar”
Button.
Enter organisation details and official email ID of HoD and
click on Send OTP Button.
Enter OTP to verify email ID, add desired User ID and click on
create Account.
Auto-logged to select “Verifying Authority” from the
dropdown and click on “Apply for Verification” button. HoD
will receive a confirmation email of VA’s approval.
*Profile will be updated after getting VA’s Approval.
Login GeM’s registration page - select “Update Buyer
Account”. Verify HoD by using OTP received on his Mobile no.
Update Organisation Address, Payment Method, personal
Information and click on “Save” Button.
Secondary user may get added, HoD can add users on the
basis of multiple divisions and posts.
Seller’s Registration Process

Seller’s Registration Process
Stages to create Seller’s Account

1. Seller Account creation. (Provide Organisation Type & Name, check pre-requisites, T&C )

2. Seller profile address. (Seller’s personal verification by Aadhaar or PAN, Email Verification)

3. Seller’s Company/Firm/ Organisation Profile completion. (Business PAN Validation, CIN Validation
*if applicable, Provide Registered Office Address, Bank Accounts)

4. Seller’s e-Invoice Declaration

5. Optional Details (ITR declaration - in case of bid participation, MSME Certificates, DIPP No *only if applicable)
Login and Search “GeM” on DSP. By Clicking on “GeM”
icon it will re-direct to GeM Registration Page.
Click on “Create Seller Account” Button to create Seller
Account.
Select Business/ Organisation type , click on proceed
button which gets active after selecting all mandatory
check boxes.
Provide consent after reading terms & conditions and then
enter Business/Organisation Name.
Personal Verification of Seller either by Aadhaar or PAN
Card.
Add email ID of the Seller and verify it by entering the OTP
received on mail.
Now, add desired User ID for Seller and click on create
account. After creation, it will redirect to Seller profile page.
Complete Business PAN Validation and provide Business
Details.
Select the preferences in “Additional Details” and provide
Office Locations, e-Invoicing declaration.
After completion of all required details, Seller’s Profile has
been created.
Now Seller have to login his profile to provide bank account details and
his consent under Profile confirmation Tab and verify it through OTP.
After clicking on proceed button, seller will be able to use his account
on GeM portal.
You can also update Seller’s profile through GeM Portal
by using Seller ID and mobile no.
