BY NAME : CDT.R.S. Arvind ROLL NO : 6684 CLASS :X-C srinivasa iyengar Ramanujam was born on 22 december 1887 to a middle class orthadox family in kumbakonam. He did not pursue any type of formal education in the field of mathematics. but he had a special interest in maths. due to that he went to cambridge university to to study maths. his academic advisors were G.H.Hardy and J.E.Littlewood. • he was member of royal society and trinity college in cambridge. •He was born to K.Srinivasa iyengar and Komalatmal. •He published his work in indian mathematician society. • he was later married to 9 year old girl namely janaki ammal on 14 july 1909. • after his marriage he was jobless then he went door to door for job . • later for money he tutored college students . • the first problem he proposed was • in his early life in 1912 he got a job as a peon in madras accountant general office with a salary of rupee 20 per month. •G.H.Hardy was an acadmic advisor in cambridge . •He was known for his number theory and mathematicial analysis. • Hardy considered Ramanujam to be a mathematician of highest quality. • when hardy was admited in a hospital later ramanujam came to visit he came in a cab which was numbered 1729. • when ramanujam mentioned it hardy commented it was uninteresting . • suddenly ramanujam stated that 1729 was the smallest natural number which is the sum of two cubes in two different ways . • after he was affected by tuberculosis he returned to india . • in 1994 dr a b young concluded that he had hepatic amoebasis . •He was awarded BA Degree by research [PhD]. • HE DIED IN 26 APRIL 1920 IN CHETPUT ,MADRAS PRESIDENCY , BRITISH INDIA . •
