5 (Alamo Rent) was placed in the Quadrant (Monitor). Alamo Rent is a car rental company/airport concessionary. Car rental services
served as a point of brief contention due to the high cost of rent and location, but the power this stakeholder has is low due to
competing companies and contracts. When ranking this with the other stakeholders, transport rental companies hold little interest
and power over the project.
10(Airport personnel) was placed in the quadrant (Keep Informed). The airport personnel are essential staff that keep the airport
running – and had expressed concerns over wanting a clean-efficient design rather than one of structural and creative integrity. In
order to appease their high interest, it is important to keep them informed – however other priorities in the project has precedence
and thus they have lower power.
19(Rating Agencies) was placed in the quadrant (Keep Satisfied). The power to influence bond ratings severely impacts the cost and
loans that the DIA project needed to keep it funded. Serving as a neutral party, Standard & Poor’s and Moody’s had little interest in
the project, but their decisions impacted the timeline of the project drastically.
18(Frederico Pena) was placed in the quadrant (Manage Closely). Serving as the Mayor of Denver, Frederico greatly influences all
contracts, decisions, and vision for the project. He holds the most power and interest to carry this project through successfully.
9(Labor Unions) was placed in the quadrant (Manage Closely). There was a staff and skilled labor shortage during this project. Labor
unions formed an integral part of the manpower needed to carry this project towards success. They had middle to high interest in the
project, but also had high bargaining power.
