Nursing Student: Login, Assign Dept & Make a
Patient List
After receiving your Inova Network login for EpicCare, this tip sheet gives the steps to logging into the correct
department and setting up your My List and Unit List to contain your assigned patients.
Try It Out- Log into the Dept
1. At the Department field, click the selection tool
2. Select your hospital/ unit. For example Alexandria 23 North
3. Search for departments that begin in various OUs of Inova, such as Ax for Alexandria or FOH for Fair
Oaks, then click Accept
Creating a My Unit List- Viewing Patients in a Department
Sending the Department List to your My Unit Folder
Now that your department list is located in your My Unit folder, single click to see all patients or
double click on any patient row to open the chart
