Thinking, Not Doing
One of the most important aspects of serving Hashem is Bitachon. According to Rabbeinu
Bachya, it’s one of the first and most important aspects of doing proper Avodas Hashem. This
shows us a very big Chiddush regarding how to serve Hashem: Serving Hashem doesn’t start with
an action or a mitzvah. It starts with a mindset, or a thought: Meaning, Bitachon is the mpost
important way to serve Hashem, but it’s not an active thing you can do. Bitachon is a mindset
that one needs to have constantly, and through that thought he can serve Hashem properly.
Emunah/Bitachon
This concept of serving Hashem with yoru thoughts over actions can also be called Emunah,
which means ‘Sincere Belief’. Meaning; Work on your Emunah first to serve Hashem Properly.
