A Preposition is a word used to

They act to connect the people,
object, time and locations in a
sentence. Prepositions are
usually short words, and they are
normally placed directly in front
of nouns or verbs.

 There are three types of Prepositions:
 Prepositions for Time

 e.g.’in evening, in morning, at 3 pm, at bedtime’
 Prepositions for Place
 e.g. ‘in a hall, on the table, at the bus station’
 Prepositions of Direction
 e.g. ‘into, to, through, towards’
 Verbs are the action words in a sentence that
Verbs
describe what the subject is doing. Along
with nouns, verbs are the main parts of a
sentence or phrase, telling a story about what
is taking place. Actually, a verb can be a
sentence by itself, with the subject, in most
cases you implied, such as, ‘Sing!’and
‘Drive!’
 Examples:
 Mark eats his dinner quickly.
 We went to the market.
 You write neatly in your notebook.
Activity: Identify

3. Someone tapped my shoulder, so I looked behind me.
