your clinical time.

If the dress code is not met, you will not be able to attend
clinical and it will count as an absence
• Rasmussen Scrubs
• Clean
• Wrinkle Free
• Well-fitting (not too tight and not too big)
• Cover jackets or long sleeves are allowed – no hoods
• Solid Black or white – no logos or print
• Shoes
• Neutral colors – no bright colors on shoes at all
• Name Badge
• Hair – Pulled away from face and above collar
• Solid neutral color headband may be worn
• Headband may not be larger than 1 inch
• No nail polish or artificial nails
• Jewelry
• One ring
• One pair of stud earrings
• Tattoos – Must be covered

Your clinical experience will be what you make of it!

Be engaged!
Seek out experiences!
Go above and beyond – help others without being asked
No hanging out by nurse stations
Look busy, be busy
Be open to learning new experiences
Be present with your patient especially when PT/OT, MD Rounds, etc… are
occurring
• Answer call lights – whether they are your patient or not!
• Patient care comes first prior to working on care plans!
• Care plans should be completed in full by end of clinical day

• Make-ups are not guaranteed

clinical/SIM of your absence
• Arrive on time – late arrival will result
in a clinical absence (and you will be
sent home)
• No Show/No Call will result in a failure
of the clinical

result in not meeting learning
objective of course and thus failure

Testing Expectations

Attitude is half the battle-study, study, study
Wear your scrubs with ID badge (no badge no test)
Leave valuables in your car, all other materials to front of room
No hanging out outside the room once done with test
Leave room quietly when done with test.
Scratch paper will be provided and collected (with name on it)
Bring simple calculator or we will provide
NO CELLPHONES OR SMART WATCHES-turn off and put in basket
Be on time or you will be turned away
If you are late and turned away. YOU MUST MAKE UP THE TEST THAT DAY or
you may receive a zero.
• Each test will have Proctors moving about the room. Be respectful.

caught cheating, you will receive a zero for that test and may be
