In Vertebrates this is primarily carried out by the lungs, Kidneys and Skin. Definition of Excretory system: • The System that excretes waste out of our body and regulates the amount of water in our body is called the Excretory System or Urinary System. • The main organs of this system are: Kidneys, ureters, urinary bladder and urethra. Functions of Excretory system • Excretory system excretes or removes the metabolic wastes from the body and retain the proper amount of water, salts and nutrients in the body.
