REMINDER: Good day, everyone! Magandang hapon po. Before we start our program, let me
remind you of something to be noted in this event. Please be mindful of your microphones. Make
sure to mute your microphones when you are not speaking to avoid any background noise that
may disrupt the program. Thank you for your cooperation, and please enjoy the event!
We will begin after 5 minutes.
INTRODUCTION: Good morning, everyone, especially to those people behind this series to
make it successful. Good morning to our transfomational director of the Office for Teaching and
Learning Development, Dr. Ma. Junithesmer D. Rosales, to our relentless chairperson of the
Department of Financial Management, Associate Professor Ria S. Fajilago, to our exemplar
faculty of today’s tutorial series, Associate Professor Realin C. Aranza, to the chiefs and the
EdTech specialist of OTLD: Sir Macky, Sir Noli, Ma’am Ann-Lyn, and Sir JayJay, and of course,
to the recipients of this tutorial series, ang mga Iskolar ng Bayan na magsisilbing tanglaw sa
kinabukasan mula sa Department of Financial Management.
I know that as this series went on, you learned a lot from the lessons and wisdom of the invited
tutors or lecturers in the past few weeks that made you consider choosing teaching as your career.
Today, let's continue your journey toward becoming a teacher in the future.
By the way, I am Katrina Mae P. Isip, an intern at the Office for Teaching and Learning
Development, and I will serve as your moderator in this tutorial series titled, The Journey of a
Teacher: A Tutorial Series on “Finance Educator as a Career”.
Last May 24, we discussed how teachers assess the competencies of their students and give
grades and feedback. Today, we will delve into the new teaching strategies that we can use in the
post pandemic world.
NATIONAL ANTHEM AND DOXOLOGY: Before we formally start our program, let us
show our deference as we sing the Philippine National Anthem, to be followed by our
supplications to the Almighty through the invocation.
[PLAYING OF AUDIO-VISUAL PRESENTATIONS]
RECAP OF THE RATIONALE OF THE TUTORIAL SERIES: For us to be reminded of the
rationale of this tutorial series, let me reiterate that this series of tutorials is intended not only to
augment what competencies you lack in the academe but also to initiate you to another
opportunity—and that is the teaching profession. With that in mind, the Department of Financial
Management, your department, in partnership with the Office for Teaching and Learning
Development, has come up with the idea of providing you with a series of activities that will
eventually set you up in the world of teaching, particularly since you do not have education units
to begin with. You must remember that teaching gives you never ending professional as well as
intellectual development.
HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE PREVIOUS TUTORIAL SERIES: In the previous tutorial
series, we covered a range of topics that are essential for anyone looking to become a finance
educator.
Learning Development.
[SIR MACKY PROVIDES HIGHLIGHTS OF THE PREVIOUS EVENTS]
Thank you, Sir Macky sa pagbabaliktanaw ng mga mahahalagang dapat pagkatandaan from our
last tutorial series. I know that the reason we are here today is to continue our journey towards
becoming effective finance educators. I am excited to learn more and develop skills in teaching,
and I believe that this tutorial series will provide you with the necessary tools and knowledge to
achieve that goal. So if you have questions, I encourage everyone to comment together with your
name so our speakers later can answer your questions after their talk.
TUTORIAL: TEACHING STRATEGIES IN THE POST PANDEMIC WORLD: In the
post-pandemic world, teaching strategies have become more important than ever. With remote
learning as the norm, educators must adapt to new technologies and find innovative ways to
engage their students. This tutorial series will explore various teaching strategies that can be used
in this new landscape. To share with us his expertise in this field, let me introduce our impressive
tutor or shall I say speaker. (Read the bionote.). Let's all welcome Associate Professor Dennis
O. Dumrique.
[Sir Dennis' Lecture]
Thank you so much for that wonderful talk, Sir Dennis, and for letting us know how to impart
knowledge to our students in different ways, especially now that we are in the post pandemic
world.
OPEN FORUM: Now, let’s move to the next part of our program. "Kung mayroon tayong
nakuhang mga impormasyon ay, siyempre, mayroon din tayong mga katanungan na mabubuo. So
And
with that, I would like to ask Sir Dennis if ready na po ba kayo sa mga katanungan ng ating
participants?
[Q and A portion. Adlib ka na muna be]
AWARDING OF A CERTIFICATE OF APPRECIATION TO THE RESOURCE

Maraming maraming salamat po, Sir Dennis, for lending us time to share your expertise about
teaching strategies that we can use in the post pandemic world. We hope that the knowledge and
insights you have shared with us today will help us become more effective and efficient educators
in the new normal. Once again, thank you, and we look forward to having you again at our future
events.
EXEMPLAR FROM TEACHING FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT: To move forward with
our event, let me call one of the faculty members from the Department of Financial Management
to share her story and experiences on how she became a finance educator and how she adapted
her teaching strategies to the new normal. (Read the bionote). She is none other than, Associate
Professor Realin C. Aranza.
[Talk of Assoc. Prof. Realin Aranza]
Thank you so much, Ma'am Aranza, for your cultivating and immersive sharing of experiences.
'Yung story ni Ma'am Aranza is one of the unique and inspiring stories na narinig ko as she
entered the field of teaching. Hindi biro ang teaching profession, but let this experience of Ma'am
Aranza encourage us to enter the field. Again, thank you so much, Ma'am.
OPEN FORUM: Now, let us move to the next part of this discussion, which is the open forum.
Let me invite our participants to inquire on some of the experiences shared by Ma'am Aranza
because these experiences might nurture you later on should you enter the world of the academe.
[Q and A portion. Adlib ka na muna be]
AWARDING OF A CERTIFICATE OF APPRECIATION TO THE EXEMPLAR
TEACHER: Thank you so much, Ma'am Aranza sa pagsagot ng aming mga katanungan. Super
considering the teaching profession as their career soon. Dahil d'yan, hayaan niyo po akong iaward sa inyo itong token of appreciation. May I call on once again Dr. Ma. Junithesmer D.
Rosales, our director here at OTLD, Assoc. Prof. Ria Fajilago, the chairperson of the Department

walang natututunan. May I say some of the important things that our tutors or speakers shared to
us earlier. [Read the Take-Aways]
Through this tutorial series, we aim to equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge to
become effective and competent finance educators in the future. We hope that this journey
towards becoming a teacher will not only help you in your career but also make a positive impact
on the lives of your future students.

to like the Facebook Page of the Office for Teaching and Learning Development. Sir Jayson, can
we show to the students the Facebook Page of our Office? Thank you, Sir. At sa mga nag-like,
salamat po ng marami.
Just a reminder for everyone, kindly fill-out the evaluation form which will be posted in the chat
box so that you will be able to receive your E-certificates of participation after the last tutorial
series.
And
now, kindly open your respective cameras for us to take screenshots.
PARTING WORDS: Before we officially close this event, first, allow me to invite you to the
next series of OTLD’s Tutorial Service on the topic “My Rights as Educator: Laws Governing
Philippine Education with Dr. Manolito San Jose as tutor. That will be held for you once again
on June 19, 2023, Monday.
Second, I would like to thank everyone who participated in this event: the tutors, the participants,
the tech team, everyone. You guys are the reason for making this event a success, and this ending
is not a sad one because after we close this call, we are already one step closer to being good
educators. This time, it will be your turn to plunge into your own educational journey. Remember
that, in teaching, you will never fail to be updated, especially when you touch other people's lives.
Once again, thank you, and God bless us all!
PUP HYMN: Now, as a sign of our respect to our Sintang Paaralan, our home and our pride, let
us all sing the PUP Hymn.
