What is climate change? How does climate change affect our lives? What can we do to stop climate change from getting worse? These are all general questions about climate change that a lot of people ask and are going to be answered in this article. So climate change and the planet ending or getting to a very bad state has been a topic for decades, and the time keeps going and new discoveries keep appearing giving us more information about the state of the planet when in reality no one does a drastic change that can really save us if we were in a critical situation. A popular theory for climate change is that it is just the normal cycle of earth, sometimes it starts getting hot for a few thousands or millions of years and then it cools down. Basically that we don’t affect the planet in a massive way with our human activity and it is just how the earth changes over the years, although it is just something that people say considering things like the ice age. So what exactly is climate change? According to the UN, climate change refers to the long-term shifts in temperatures and weather patterns that are driven by a combination of natural and human factors (N.D.). While natural processes such as variations in the solar cycle have always been a factor, human activities have become the main driver of climate change since the 1800s. The primary cause of human-induced climate change is the burning of fossil fuels such as coal, oil and gas. This leads to the release of greenhouse gas emissions, including carbon dioxide and methane, which act like a blanket around the Earth, trapping the sun's heat and causing temperatures to rise. The emission of these gasses is primarily driven by human activities such as driving cars, heating buildings, clearing land and forests, and producing garbage in landfills. Climate change has created new and di cult challenges for both humans and wild animals in their quest for survival. The more frequent and intense droughts, storms, heat waves, rising sea levels, melting glaciers, and warming oceans have a direct impact on the well-being of animals and the habitats in which they live. These changes can result in significant harm to animals and disrupting their natural behaviors and migration patterns. At the same time, the consequences of these changes also have a devastating impact on people's livelihoods and communities. These impacts can range from destroying homes and infrastructure to negatively affecting food security and the availability of resources. The effects of climate change are far-reaching and multi-faceted, posing a significant threat to both wildlife and human populations. Another thing we don’t actually pay that much attention to is on how climate change could affect our health. In big cities we do get really affected by the quality of air, especially people who live in cities with a decent quality of air and go to massive cities. Climate change is expected to have a significant impact on human health, particularly through the increase of ground-level ozone and particulate matter air pollution in certain regions. Ground-level ozone, which is a major component of smog, is linked to numerous health issues, such as reduced lung function, increased hospital admissions and emergency room visits for asthma, and a higher incidence of premature deaths. Now how are we going to fix all these problems, that when you read all of them it honestly feels like the world is about to end tomorrow. The plan would be to make a massive campaign, but a huge one, no one has ever seen before. Ads everywhere you go, in the streets, on youtube videos, on tv, on the radio at all times. These ads will contain important relevant information, so that people eventually get completely sick about hearing all these terrible facts about what is going on on our planet, and eventually do something. If we can get volunteers it would be awesome, if we don’t get enough the strategy would be even paying people to do massive tasks just like huge reforestations or big cleaning to places in the ocean or on land. I hope this information was helpful, this campaign will feature things just like the ones you’ve read about in this article. I think once billions of people start actually knowing about climate change’s special details and most dark facts we will get a massive change, I just think that there are a lot of people really misinformed. But one thing is certain, we are going to change people’s thoughts. Step 1: Analyzing - Analyzing consists of basically thinking about what you do on a daily basis. You think for example how much water you waste or how much electricity you use every day. Then you think about how your daily routines affect climate change. Step 2: Inform yourself - This step consists of the last part of the previous one, which is thinking about how the things you do affect climate change. But it is not only thinking, it’s more about informing yourself from other certified sources, maybe from the internet or a magazine like mine. Step 3: Action plan - Now that you know what you do daily and how it affects climate change getting worse. You have to inform yourself again, but this time about how to reduce the impact you have with your daily activities. Again doing a little bit of research or with the magazine. Step 4: Act - This step consists of actually trying to do your action plan. Some people take it very seriously and change in a massive way their lives in order to reduce impact on climate change, some try to help but if it consists of changing completely how they live they choose the easier way, which is completely fine. What will help is that a lot of people try to help, not just a few trying to help by changing their lives completely. This depends also on what you do for a living or maybe how old you are, in general the context behind your life. Step 5: Recap - After some time of doing this, maybe more than a year, you have to think about what you’ve done, on what you’ve contributed and how you can get better at it. It’s not like by using less electricity or using less trash you are going to save the world in a year. It’s more about thinking about all the things you’ve done, and maybe getting new ideas from other people. The point is to help and the more you do it the better. United Nations. (n.d.).
