Assign the vehicle trips shown in the 0-D·trip matrix at Table Q2 to the network shown in Figure Q2 using the ali-or-nothing assignment technique. Determine the minimum time paths from Node 1 to all other zones and volume assigned to each. Calculate the total vehicle minutes of travel from Node-1 to all other zones. In conducting accident analysis, the number ofEPDO (Equivalent Property Damage Only) crashes is often used instead of total number of crashes. What are advantages of doing this? (5 marks) 4. An agency has selected 30 signalized intersections for conducting an accident study. Mean number of crashes by considering all these sites is I 0 and the standard ..deviation is 2.9 for the last year. For the same year, mean rate per MEV and the corresponding standard deviation of the crash rate are 1.03 and o.33 respectively, for the same 30 intersections. Table Q4 shows the detaiis of 6 intersections that are included in these 30 sites. Determine the intersections which , could be identified as critical for further investigation by considering all possibilities of both these methods. Explain the purposes and advantages of conducting traffic conflict studies. Also, what are the disadvantages and concerns associated with conflict studies? ( 10 marks) 6. How do you define quantitative measures to characterize traffic operatjonal conditions? Your answer should specify the measures for freeway sections, weaving sections, urban streets, signalized inte~ections, unsignalized intersections, highway sections, etc.. separately. (10 marks) 6 7. What are the purposes to conducting following? a. Road Safety Audit (5 marks) !" b. Traffic Impact Analysis (5 marks) 8. Write procedure to conduct following traffic studies.
