THE IMPACT OF SUCCESSION PLANNING ON EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT IN TEACHING SECTOR Shahzad Ali Shah, Sayed Bachelor in BBA hon Shahzadalishahsayed@gmail.com Introduction It is the word where the thrusts of knowledge is increasing day by day where as, schools, colleges, universities and teaching institutes plays a vital role for the sake of nation’s goodwill. In that case private and government institutes compete with each other with there teaching styles and there management hierarchy. So, as succession planning is the key factor which contributes the management hierarchy which helps to find talented leaders to run teaching institutes with effective and efficient manner. And, without dedication of manpower it’s impossible to achieve the organizational goals and motives. That’s the reason where employee engagement is tool to retain and manage the manpower. According to research article which is published in Emerald publications found that “there is 60% of teaching institutes fail to get talented leaders for their management hierarchy to run their organization, due to lack of effective and efficient succession planning”. So as, findings of my research helps to understand the hierarchy of management and their core competencies to hunt the talented leaders with help of effective succession planning and retain manpower with tools and techniques of employee engagement. PROBLEM STATEMENT Keeping in mind the magnitude of succession planning and the impact on employee engagement, in this proposal the discussion is all about independent variable which is impact of succession planning, we can say it is cause and it’s effect is on dependent variable that is employee engagement in teaching sector dadu, Pakistan. This study will serve as building block for future researchers. OBJECTIVES This research is conducted for the purpose of exploring the impact of succession planning on employee engagement in teaching sector either government or private sector of dadu, Pakistan for answering the questions which are arising during management hierarchy.
