EXPANDING KILL TEAM “TISIPHONE” by Seyni N’diaye Brother Dimitrius hails from an unknown Chapter but seems to have been part of the Deathwatch forever. Both his affinity with machinery and his coldhearted logic might mark him as a scion of the Iron Tenth to many, but there are darker rumors that circulate about where his true origins might lie. Despite these rumors, Dimitrius – simply called “The Bitter One” by his Tisiphone squad mates – is nontheless a valuable asset to the Deathwatch. His determination unwavering during all his years of service. He spends much of his time in the Techmarine quarter of the Watch fortress, tending to some of the Dreadnoughts and other relics of the Chapter. Some say that he feels more at home with those ancient weapons and relics than with other battle brothers. In war, he wields an array of terrifying weaponry, all upgraded by himself and some of his own designs. His mastery of these makes him the perfect support at range the kill team needs. This model was made using different kits and bits such as the Horus Heresy iron Hands Gorgon terminator legs, plastic Tartaros Terminator torso, a melta-power fist from the Salamanders member of a Deathwatch kill team box, as well as a Tartaros plastic pauldron, inquisitor Coteaz’ hammer, and finally, a Primaris Gravis armor backpack combined with a Mechanicum Thallax lightning gun. When painting Dimitrius, i took some care while playing with the smoothness of the non-metal metaliics by working with a wet blend of blue, Tenebrous Grey shadows and ice Yellow highlights. The face was my favorite part to work on, with as many colors as possible (as usual). I really enjoyed leaning into the green hues in the lower part of the face. As a little bonus here is also my latest bust called Serenity. I made this one from the bust Sunset from Pedro Fernández Works. This is me trying to tackle something more primal and infused with a more artistic flare. It represents a calm in the eye of the storm that art and expression might be in ones life. I hope you like her. Happy painting! –Seyni
