Principles of the KINGDOM UNDERSTANDING THE KINGDOM AND KINGDOM PRINCIPLES What is a Kingdom • A KINGDOM IS A KINGS’ SOVREIGN INFLUENCE, IMPACT, RULERSHIP OVER HIS TERRITORY. • A KINGDOM IS THE GOVERNING IMPACT OF A KING’S WILL, INTENT AND PURPOSE OVER A DOMAIN . • A KINGDOM IS A KINGS’ INFLUENCE OVER A PEOPLE AND A DOMAIN. • A KINGDOM IS A GOVERNMENT LED BY A KING IMPACTING A TERRITORY. What is a Kingdom • A Country governed/ruled by A KING • Soverign rulership and governing influence of the King over his territory (his domain) – impacting it with his will, purpose and intent – The nature of the King is produced in the Kingdom. Characteristics of a Kingdom • The key to Kingdom is TERRITORITY. • Kingdom’s Territory is call DOMAIN. KING-DOM-AIM – “KINGDOM” • The Glory of Kingdoms is TERRITORIAL INFLUENCE. • All Kingdoms EXPAND. • The First Kingdom in existence is THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN. The message of the bible is about a king, a kingdom and his royal offspring. What is A King • King – Ruler of a nation or territory, inherited and ruler for life • Matthew 2:2 – Jesus Christ was born a King • Mark 1:14-15 – Came Preaching the Kingdom of God • Mark 15:32 – Died a King • I Tim 6:15 – Is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords • Jesus is Our King. We are Heirs of His Kingdom Jesus Mission • • John 18:37 "You are right in saying I am a king. In fact, for this reason I was born, and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.” • • Gal 4:4 4 But when the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, KJV Kingdom Manifested • Kingdom that was hoped for was at-hand in Jesus – Matthew 3:2 • Jesus Preached the Presence of the Kingdom – Matthew 4:17 • Time Fulfilled and Kingdom of God and hand - Mark 1:15 • Kingdom Come Unto You – Matthew 12:28 • Jesus was the full embodiment of the Kingdom Importance of the Kingdom • To Understand Jesus Teachings • Fulfillment - Luke 4:21 • Through Jesus the Kingdom made its entrance through Human History What is the Kingdom of God For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace and joy in the Holy Ghost – Romans 14:17 • Righteouseness - Matthew 5:20 – (Scribes and Pharisees were self-righteous. Our righteousness must be about God’s righteousness • Peace – John 14:27, John 16:33, Romans 5:1, & Romans 8:6 ~ Inner Peace because Trust is in God through Christ • Joy – John 15:11, Romans 15:13, Galatians 5:22-23 & Jude 1:24 ~ Pleasant emotions, delight • Righteousness – Matthew 6:33 ~Seek God’s way to doing and being in Right Standing The Kingdom Has Come But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the Kingdom of God is come unto you. - Matthew 12:28 The Kingdom Within You Neither shall they say, Lo here! Luke 17:21 Kingdom of Heaven and Kingdom of God • Kingdom of Heaven and Kingdom of God used interchangeably in the Gospels • Mark and Luke – Kingdom of God • Matthew – Kingdom of Heaven Jesus Prayer to Our Father • • John 17 15 My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. 16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of it. NIV We Are Ambassadors Ambassador – An official representative of the King. A political appointee whose job is to represent and speak for his/her home government before the rulers of other countries. • II Corinthians 5:20 – We are Empowered • We Have Been Appointed!!! Goal of An Ambassador • Influence the Territory of his Kingdom Government – Chief Ambassador is Jesus Christ • Ephesians 6:20 What is a Principle • Principle – Law or rule, belief or idea that guides you; rule or belief governing one’s personal behavior • Biblical Principle – General Truth • The Bible communicates to us essentially in principles. Extract the truth from biblical contact and re-apply it. God’s Priority and Principles of the Kingdom • • Matthew 6:25-33 “Seek First His Kingdom” • Righteousness – Matthew 6:33 ~Seek God’s way to doing and being in Right Standing • • • Make the Kingdom of God – Priority. Seek – Pursue and Study Righteousness – Legal Term, be in Right Position. Align self with the Government. The Kingdom of God is more important than food, water, clothing, shelter, and every other basic human need. • Principles of Kings • Jesus came to the earth and reestablished the Kingdom • Only a king can establish a Kingdom • Jesus said His Kingdom not of this world • Central component of Kingdom • Only source of authority • Sovereignty is inherent. Principles of Lord • Every King is Lord (Lordship Makes King Unique) • King relates to Dominion, Lord relates to Domain • Dominion refers to King’s Authority • Domain refers to Territory • Lord is Owner. Confess Jesus Christ as Lord. • God is the Lord – Deuteronomy 6:4-5, Psalm 24:1-2 • Earth was given to Man to manage – Psalm 115:15-16 Principles of Lordship • King personally owns everything in his domain (Everything belongs to the King) • Use of anything in the Kingdom is a privilege • King can give or distribute anything to anyone in his kingdom because He owns it • Submissin to the King’s lordship means that we have no right to ourselves. Jesus Christ is Lord. Principles of Lordship (cont.) • Obedience is acknowledgement of Lordship • Thanksgiving is an acknowledgement of the king’s lordship • The word “Lord” can never be used with the word “but” Principles of Territory • Every Kingdom has territory • Gen 1:1 – In the Beginning God Created the heavens and the earth • The first thing God gave man was territory. • Let them have dominion. • By Prayer we invite God into our domain. • We have dominion authority. “Bind” lock up or prohibit, “Loose” Unlock or permit - Matthew 18:18 • Land. Domain, Territory – Isaiah 45:18 Principles of the Constitution • Heart of all Kingdoms is Constitution • King’s Covenant is his constitution. Scriptures say, “I, the Lord, say …” • Originates in the heart, mind and will of the king. Citizens have no input. • God set out the conditions. Genesis 1:26-28, Genesis 2:8, 15-17 • God’s contract with Abraham. Genesis 12:1-3, Genesis 15: 1,5 • Initiated by the king, from the king and for the king’s pleasure Principles of the Constitution (cont.) • Constitutes the king’s desire for his citizens. (King’s contract for the people) • States the King’s desires for His citizens (Jeremiah 29:11-14) • The Bible is: Expressed will of the King in written form, It is the constitution • God’s Word is Unchanging. For example, you have the right to vote, the right to work, and the right to pay taxes Regardless of where you live or grow up, if you belong to God, you are not just a citizen of your country, you are also a citizen of the kingdom of God. • • • • Philippians 3:20 (AMP) "But [we are different, because] our citizenship is in heaven." (TPT) "But we are a colony of heaven on earth..." From another realm colonizing earth!!! (Message) "But there’s far more to life for us. We’re citizens of high heaven!” HEAVENLY BENEFITS • • Ephesians 2:19 "Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God," The Royal Family • • • Colossians 1:12-13 "...giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,... Paul Knew His Rights • Acts 16:37 "They have beaten us openly, uncondemned Romans, and have thrown us into prison. And now do they put us out secretly? No indeed! Let them come themselves and get us out.’” I’m not going quietly … you illegally beat a citizen … I have rights I can put a demand on … you touched one of the Kings called out ones … I have unique privileges!!! Acts 22:25-29“ Take care what you do, for this man is a Roman ... And Paul said, “But I was born a citizen.” 29 Then immediately those who were about to examine him withdrew from him; and the commander was also afraid after he found out that he was a Roman, and because he had bound him. Citizen: - a native or naturalized individual who owes allegiance to a government (as of a state or nation) and is entitled to the enjoyment of governmental protection and to the exercise of civil rights. Citizenship is power-sharing. The conferring of a nation on an individual. Walk in with nothing and you leave with everything. A citizen shares the power of the government, and essentially becomes one with the government. Becoming a citizen of the Kingdom of God means: • You become powerful. • You gain a source of personal authority. • You can call constitutional privileges and promises. • You have access to the full protection and advantage of the law Matthew 28:18-19 (TPT) “All the authority of the universe has been given to me. Now go in my authority and make disciples of all nations,… Hebrews 1:14 (The Message)“ Isn’t it obvious that all angels are sent to help out with those lined up to receive salvation?” Every Kingdom has an army God’s Kingdom has a military of powerful spiritual beings Psalm 89:8 (TPT) "So awesome are you, O Yahweh, Lord God of Angel Armies! (Lord Of Hosts 272) Where could we find anyone as glorious as you? Your faithfulness shines all around you!" Matthew 18:10 “Be careful that you not corrupt one of these little ones. For I can assure you that in heaven each of their angelic guardians have instant access to my heavenly Father.” Acts 12:15 "But they said to her, 'You are beside yourself!' Yet she kept insisting that it was so. So they said, 'It is his angel.'" Matthew 26:53 "Or do you think that I cannot now pray to My Father, and He will provide Me with more than twelve legions of angels?" Psalm 103:20-21 “Bless the Lord, you His angels, Who excel in strength, who do His word, Heeding the voice of His word. Bless the Lord, all you His hosts, You ministers of His, who do His pleasure.” 2 Kings 19:35 — One angel took out 185000 warriors. Excel in strength!!!
