Diploma HIV Management Study Support Cover letter SS2023
Dear Candidate
Diploma HIV Management Study Support
To support candidates in their preparations for the Diploma in HIV Management, the CMSA is
pleased to offer a study support group. Please download DIP HIV Man (SA) Curriculum Blueprint
from the CMSA website – it includes the curriculum and learning objectives for the exam. The
curriculum you need to cover has been divided into 27 “activities”. Each EPA has detailed learning
objectives, which outlines the level of knowledge you need to know to pass the exam. They also
have the relevant resources from which to study for that particular section.
We have divided the material into a 9-week study program, starting on the 15th of May 2023, to help
structure your weekly studying and to ensure you cover all the material. The purpose of the program
is to encourage good time management with your preparation towards the Diploma in HIV
Management. This is simply a map – it will be up to the you to put it to good use. It will consist of
weekly reminders, emails and teaching materials. The content of the 9 weeks can be found on the
CMSA website as the Dip_HIV_Man Study Support weekly tasks May - July. This is the material that
was sent on a weekly basis prior to the last sitting of the exam. We expect the majority of the material
sent in May to July to be the same, but may be updated if the new DOH guidelines come out. FEEL
FREE TO START YOUR PREPARATIONS EARLIER – don’t wait until confirmation of acceptance or you
will be cutting it rather fine…
If you would like additional support in the form of weekly reminders, emails and teaching materials
such a YouTube videos, you can join the Study Support Group by filling in THIS GOOGLE FORM:
