V. Operational Plan
1. Production
There will be continuous updates and additions to the system. The system was designed using the
SOLID design principles and the MVC design pattern. The version V1 is a web based system composed
of the backend and frontend. The backend is a Java application and then the frontend was written in
React. The upcoming version V2 will be composed of the V1 and then a mobile application. We will be
giving out 12/hr support services.
2. Quality control
To ensure safety of the data, we have used the AWS blockchain technology which is immutable. The
system will be tested and automations implemented to reduce the number of bugs. We have
implemented a JWT authentication system which is more secure and difficult to hack.
3. Location
We will need an office at the innovation hub which is near the University of Zimbabwe which we are
targeting to partner with first. If our office is near the University, it helps our marketing team as
students can easily reach out to hear more information on the verification process. Also companies,
government officials frequently visit the University which makes it easier for them to know about us.
We will need a reception area where customers can sit, an office room with a desk for a developer and
the testers and a desk for the director of the company. Each of these desks will at least have one
computer, monitor, mouse mate, separate keyboard. The office will need high speed internet, this
should come from a fibre line that connects the building. This fibre line should be at least 50mbps. WiFi
connectivity, and Ethernet Ports. A kitchenette for staff members, and a board room that sits at least 10
people is needed to hold meetings.
4. Legal environment
The business is in the process of finalizing a partnership with the University of Zimbabwe. We will also
continue partnering with all other educational institutions in Zimbabwe. The E - Certificate will have a
distinct logo and watermark to be approved by the ministry. We are also hoping to have a direct
contact line with the police to dealth with whoever is caught trying to forge educational qualifications.
5. Personnel
Receptionist. – Full Time
The receptionist will be responsible for liaising with customers, explaining the features of the product
and managing payments. They should do or would have done a course in marketing that will help the
business with social media marketing.
Developers – Full Time
The developers will work on the system, adding new features, resolving bugs if any. They will also be
giving the technical support and implementation of the system.
Salary
The remuneration will be monthly for full-time employees.
6. Suppliers
AWS, we will be using their quantum ledger database. This ledger is cost effective as it is a pay as you
use. If the system is not at full capacity the cost is low.
