ASSET SEIZURE ORDER
Part 14 of the Law Enforcement Act 2021 (NSW)
The purpose of an Asset Seizure Order is to reclaim lost funds that may have been incurred by a
victim of crime or as a result of civil action taken through the court against another party.
An Asset Seizure Order may also be issued where a convicted defendant fails to comply with a
sentence imposed by a court.
An Asset Seizure Order may be enforced with assistance from a member of government.
It is an offence to not comply with an Asset Seizure Order and failure to comply can result in a
warrant being issued for your arrest, further penalties being imposed and the assets being seized by
force.

The details of this order is to seize the money that Mr. Hippy received from the
sale of prohibited firearms to others.
*Brief details regarding the bust*
After being arrested for selling prohibited firearms, It was alleged that Mr Hippy had stored the
money used for the bust in the storage facility. After executing the search warrant and not finding the
money, we finally got access to Mr. Hippy’s bank account and it showed a record of him depositing
$1,900,000 into his bank account which was consistent with what was provided to him for the initial
sale.

The Appropriate time stamps are 01:45 - 03:34 and 05:49 - 06:25 where the money is in the car and
then is taken out.
