A random sample of (20) students was targeted. A survey was used to collect data and qualitative analysis was performed to reveal results. Obtained results showed that all the respondents were using smart devices constantly, whereas no one was into the old fashion ways. Distraction, misuse, and lack of skills were the most reported drawbacks. On the other hand, enriched interaction and excitement were the main aspects encouraging students to use this technology in the learning process. 2.Introduction Smart devices, As the names imply, a smart device is an electronic apparatus used to collect, share, and manage the appropriate information with other devices (McTear, Callejas, & Griol, 2016). Mobile devices connected to the internet such as smartphones and tablets have become the choice platform for the millennial generation engaged in various internet activities. Smart devices play significant roles in the educational side these days (chan et al., 2012). Massively smart devices are being used by people nowadays, especially youngsters. In the sense of university students, as they are very young users, they are using various smart devices. such identified devices as; smartphones, tablets (e.g., iPad, Galaxy Tab). Other beneficial applications of mobile technology in higher education include social, emotional, and educational improvement. Learners can learn anytime and anywhere through mobile learning, which has emerged as an innovative learning approach (Rogers Kaliisa, 2017). 3.Methods The research was organized by preparing a questionnaire which shows the reasons of using smart devices for educational purposes. The questionnaire was Distributed between a collective of students. 1 4.Result Students' responses were positive. Confirming that students rely highly on the smart devices for educational purposes. It has emerged as a supply and medium of assistance for studying, because of its rapid pace, clean access, and availability.
