SUBJECT DESCRIPTION
Values Education as a part of the school curriculum is the process by which values, attitudes and habits are
formed as the learner interacts with his environment under the guidance of the teacher.
SUBJECT OBJECTIVES
At a minimum, a student completing this subject should be able to:
1. demonstrates an understanding of: (a) expected abilities and behaviors during adolescence/adolescence,
talents and abilities, passions, and roles during adolescence/adolescence; (b) talent and ability; (c) passions; and
(d) his duties in each role as an adolescent.
2. demonstrates an understanding of: (a) mind and behavior.; (b) relation of conscience to Natural Moral Law; (c)
freedom; and (d) human dignity.
3. demonstrates an understanding of: (a) values and virtues; (b) hierarchy of values; (c) internal factors influencing
the formation of values; and (d) external factors influencing the formation of values.
4. demonstrates an understanding of: (a) his dreams and aspirations; (b) good judgment; (c) personal factors in
choosing an academic or technical vocational course, art or sports business or occupation; and (d) importance of
education in preparation for entrepreneurship and earning a living.

The quarterly grades of the student is based on the following components:

The student is required to obtain an average of 75% in order to pass the subject.
Aside from academic deficiency, other grounds to fail the subject are the following:
1. Intellectual dishonesty (cheating and plagiarism) during tests and other requirements.
2. Student who has incurred more than 20% of the total number of school days (i.e., 14 unexcused
absences) shall not be given credit to the subject regardless of class standing.
3. Other grounds as stipulated in the school rules and relevant policies and regulations that maybe
promulgated from time to time.

LANGUAGE OF INSTRUCTION
English is the medium of instruction. Lectures, discussions, and documentation will be in English.
Topic switching is highly discouraged and the use of other languages aside from English in
communicating and in presenting subject works will be a valid ground for demerits in that given
exercise.
HOMEWORK, WRITTEN REPORTS AND REACTION PAPERS
All homework and other assigned work must be submitted on time.
SUBJECT PORTFOLIO
All exercises and requirements for the subject are to be compiled by the students as part of their
portfolio. The same must be made available for inspection by the Instructor before the end of the
quarter.
HONOR, DRESS, AND GROOMING CODE
Other provisions stipulated by school administration will be enforced in and out of the classroom.
Students who have violated the dress code policy and other related offenses will not be permitted to
attend classes without being cleared by the Student Affairs Office or the Guidance office.
