It is May 1st of 2021 when I graduated from senior high school in Montessori De Sagrada Familia.
This graduation experience is very unusual from what we had experienced before since it happened in an
online setup. Surprisingly, I was awarded three achievements which I did not expect I would receive. I
remembered, I was in my 11th Grade when the suspension of classes started due to the COVID-19
epidemic which later become a pandemic and was already in 12th Grade when classes resumed online. It
is hard to cope with the new learning setup that made me think I would fail the semester. In addition,
things got worse when a super typhoon has affected our area in November 2020, which resulted in 5 days
of a power outage that made it impossible for us to attend virtual meetings in school. I was very anxious
at that time because I do not know how am I supposed to do my school works in that situation.
I still cannot believe that I made it through graduation despite the challenges I have faced the
whole year. One of the unexpectable achievements that I received is the With High Honors award. During
the time we had a power outage, I really did not mind making it in honors and just hope to pass the
semester, but fortunately, God gave me what I did not think I deserved. All of the tears and sacrifices have
resulted in a fruitful success. I was very excited and proud to see myself flashed in the screen together
with my batchmates. Even though the graduation was done through live stream only, it is still worth it for
me because I managed to finish my senior high school and got many achievements despite the pandemic
we are facing.
