Final Research Project Grade Sheet
Total Possible Points = 200
There are 4 areas of observation (Research, Written Work, Creativity, and Difficulty) each worth 50
points.
Point breakdown will be determined based upon submitted work which will receive the following
grade/point value:
Excellent 45-50 points – Research project and written work contain a high quality content that
demonstrates significant research. All referenced materials are valid and of the highest quality.
Reflections and observations are vivid, clear and have a personal perspective clearly defined and
explained by student.
Good 40-45 points – Research project and written work contain good quality content that demonstrates
solid research. All referenced materials are valid and most of a high quality. Reflections are clear and
some carry personal perspective.
Average 35-40 points – Research project and written work contain average quality content that
demonstrates moderate amount of research. Most referenced materials are of good quality.
Reflections are somewhat clear, but also lack a personal perspective.
Fair 25-35 points – Research project and written work are of a marginal quality that demonstrates a
limited amount of research. Referenced materials are fair, but lack specific clarity. Some reflections and
observations are good, but there is clearly a lack of personal perspective that is required to demonstrate
the use of critical thinking skills.
Poor 0-25 points – Research project materials do NOT demonstrate an adequate amount of research
and/or support. Referenced materials are of poor quality. Few if any personal reflections have been
provided and the student clearly has NOT spent an adequate amount of time preparing the assignment.
