REASON FOR APPLYING TO THIS COURSE
Psychology has always been a subject that has captivated me. The study of human behaviour
and the workings of the mind fascinates me to no end. I am amazed by the unique functioning
of our brains and how our thoughts and experiences shape our lives and impact the decisions
we make.
At this juncture of my career, I believe that a master’s degree in clinical psychology is a
natural progression for me. A Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (other majors - Sociology and
Economics) followed by my consequent career trajectory paired with the experiences life had
to offer, not only cemented my interest in pursuing further studies in this field but has also
made me confident and certain that this is my calling.
My long-term career goal is to become a clinical psychologist and work with individuals who
have mental health disorders.
I am excited at the prospect of pursuing a Masters in Psychology. I look forward to gain a
deeper understanding when it comes to assessing, diagnosing, treating and supporting
individuals with different psychological disorders and conditions.
Having conversed with multiple alumni from this reputable institution, I am confident that
this program will provide me with a strong foundation in the subject and also help me
develop as a researcher and practitioner. I look forward to contributing to the field and
making a positive impact in the lives of individuals affected by mental illness.
