MOP for ALFOplus80HD upgrade from SYV 1.4.4 to 2.7.2
in Vodafone Egypt network
This document shortly describes the procedure that shall be applied in the Vodafone Egypt network,
to permit the upgrade to x.y.+n with n>1 from 1.4.4 to 2.7.2
Please refer to the following scenario as the test deployment
Description of MOP and sequence of steps to perform
The MOP shall be applied on a specific setting of the ALFOplus 80HD, namely the “Acceptable
Frame Types” value set on the MNGT port.
As per running configuration into ALFOplus80HD in VF-EGY, the “Acceptable Frame Types” is
set to value “Untagged and Priority Tagged”, as displayed in the picture below:
The MOP consists of the following action: while SYV 1.4.4 is running, the “Acceptable Frame
Types” value shall be changed to “All”; please see picture below:
This change of setting shall be performed on every ALFOplus80HD in the VF-EGY network.
Once done the configuration changes, and applied the new settings, the MOP is complete, and
operator can normally proceed to switch FW bank from SYV 1.4.4 to SYV 2.7.2.
