It has been known that Paintings and other forms of art have been a very significant piece in conveying or mirroring the lifestyle and
culture that every generation has… In painting, it does not only concern every human being but also extends to the matters of our
society. Of course, we are all aware that words are not enough to voice out our thoughts hence, we can say that Painting is indeed a
great help to express the emotions of human beings and also to help other people understand to understand the context behind living
if one society.
And as we go on our expected discussion, we aim to enlighten you regarding how painting could represent the human touch, its
relation to the humanities, to know if paintings could be a tool to bring back humanity to human beings, how it became vital in human
life, how could it be a source of entertainment, be an eye-opener, helped in gaining new knowledge, and the like. A few of the most
notable features of painting are its ability to address the feelings, ideas, culture, and aesthetics of certain periods. How the artists use
these paintings to rekindle the analyzation and sense of appreciation of people when it comes to arts.
Starting with me and to give an overview, we all know that the stone age is the start of the creation and use of stone tools. Even
though there is no trace of education, lavish lifestyle, or just a mere survival instinct, it didn’t hinder them to give birth to painting.
The first painting was found in cave paintings which were made from dirt, charcoal, and a mix of spit and animal fat—the creation of
a painting is rooted in their ritual and ceremony since most of the painted figures are animals, hunting schemes, and such. On the
other hand, we have the Gothic Period which is compared with Romansque, the notable features of the Gothic were that it move to
more realistic human forms, complex sense of perspective, and used chiaroscuro (kayroscuro, Italian term which literally means 'lightdark') effects in lighting and shading, and usually, the subject of their paintings were saints or biblical. .(adoration of Magi)
Now means of Romanticism, indulges in emotions, feelings, moods, spirituality, imagination, mystery, and such. The usual subject of
their paintings was landscape, religion, revolution, and peaceful beauty.
And lastly, we have Modern Art which occurs in the late 19th to early 20th centuries, this period was considered to be inclined toward
a more complex painting—which is why it is described as mysterious and thought-provoking. It is away from the traditional form of
art as it became more abstract, and colorful, and explores the new subject of the painting.
