Borescopic inspection of the gas generator turbine front zone
Refer to Figure 201
NOTE:
Do the borescopic inspection of the gas generator turbine front zone:

(1)
By the borescopic orifice with a rigid borescope
By an igniter plug with a flexible borescope and the borescope guide
(OT 30 0140).
Borescopic inspection of the gas generator turbine front zone with a rigid borescope
Use a rigid borescope (Ø max.: 5 mm; view direction: 90°; field of view: 60° or more; field
depth: 25 at ∞ mm).
(a)
Remove the screws (75-29-00-01-202) (x 2) from the plug (75-29-00-01-200) .
(b)
Remove the plug (75-29-00-01-200) .
(c)
Remove and discard the corrujoint gasket (75-29-00-01-230) from the plug
(75-29-00-01-200) .
CAUTION:
DO NOT TWIST OR BEND THE BORESCOPE DURING ITS
INTRODUCTION.
(d)
Put the rigid borescope into the borescopic orifice.
(e)
Do the borescopic inspection (Refer to table 201):

On all the blades of the gas generator turbine rotor
On the visible part of the sectors of the gas generator turbine envelope
On the visible part of the gas generator turbine nozzle guide vane.
Use the setting into rotation handle (OT 30 0130) to turn the gas generator turbine
rotor.
(f)
Remove the rigid borescope from the borescopic orifice.
(g)
Install a new corrujoint gasket (75-29-00-01-230) on the plug (75-29-00-01-200) .
(h)
Install the plug (75-29-00-01-200) .
(i)
Install the screws (75-29-00-01-202) (x 2) on the plug (75-29-00-01-200) and torque
to 4.8 N.m.

Borescopic inspection of the gas generator turbine front zone with a flexible borescope
Printed on May 01/2023 from C 319 L6 460 9 IETP, dated Oct 15/2022.
Use a flexible borescope (max. Ø : 5 mm; min. length: 1000 mm; bending angle: 120°;
direction of view: frontward; field of view: 60° or more; field depth: 25 at ∞ mm).
(a)
Remove the left igniter plug (74-21-10-01-100) or the right igniter plug
(74-21-10-01-110) . Refer to Task 74-21-10-900-802.
(b)
Remove the dowel mounting (72-42-20-01-210) and its seal (72-42-20-01-220) .
(c)
Install the borescope guide (OT 30 0140).

Put the borescope guide (OT 30 0140) in the passage orifice of the igniter plug.

Install the screw on the borescope guide (OT 30 0140) and tighten.
(d)
Put carefully the flexible borescope in the borescope guide (OT 30 0140).
(e)
Do the borescopic inspection (Refer to table 201):

On all the blades of the gas generator turbine rotor
On the visible part of the sectors of the gas generator turbine envelope
On the visible part of the gas generator turbine nozzle guide vane.
Use the setting into rotation handle (OT 30 0130) to turn the HP turbine rotor.

Remove the flexible borescope from the borescope guide (OT 30 0140).
(g)
Remove the borescope guide (OT 30 0140).

Remove the screw from the borescope guide (OT 30 0140).

Remove the borescope guide (OT 30 0140) from the orifice of the igniter plug.
(h)
Install the dowel mounting (72-42-20-01-210) and its seal (72-42-20-01-220) .
(i)
Install the left igniter plug (74-21-10-01-100) or the right igniter plug
(74-21-10-01-110) . Refer to Task 74-21-10-900-802.

Criteria for the sectors of the gas generator turbine housing
(1)
Signs of impacts, rubs with material transfer, on the visible part of the sectors of the gas
generator turbine housing
Do a check and monitor the results of the engine health inspection (Refer to the Aircraft
Flight Manual).
If in the next 50 hours of engine operation, the temperature margin degradation, on an
averaged value, is more than 20°C (68°F), remove the gas generator (72-00-00-01-250)
(Refer to Task 72-00-42-900-801).
