On the 26th day of April, 2023, around 11:30 AM at Room B3, the representatives of Tribe Gad: Ms. Hailee Marie Bagaso, Mr. Remart Antonino, Ms. Mykah Lee Lentija, and Ms. Abby Gail Mindac; and, their collaborating tribe, the Tribe of Benjamin with the representatives: Ms. Alyssa Kayle Bayhon, Mr. Jessie Bocala, Ms. Lowelyn Presidente, Ms. Ky Christine Labargan, Ms. Althea Acosta, and Ms. Mae Ann Celino. The two tribes discussed about the program/project to be conducted within the school of College of St. John-Roxas. Ms. Hailee Marie Bagaso of Tribe of Gad first introduced the topic of Journalism which will be the inservice to be carried out. The project targets to showcase different events as conducted by other tribes: Simeon and Levi, Asher and Dan, and Isaachar and Ephraim; and, other social occasions highlighting the city of Roxas, Capiz. As advised by the NSTP Coordinator–Ms. Lalaine Luza, the proposed workshop cannot be carried out due to limitations in time, hence a talk will be the substitute, which will also cover the main topics about the features of a Journalism and the actual publication. It was also mentioned that the activity during the day of the seminar will be requiring other tribes to write a feature article about their respective programs and will be submitted to the facilitators–Tribe of Gad and Tribe of Benjamin–to whom will also be the one to check their works. Another topic was the creation of the board of committees who will be monitoring the publications of the works as submitted by the individuals participating in the said organization. The highlight of the talk was the creation of website which will be the main platform of the said Journalism under NSTP. Moreover, a said publication in the form of newsletter will also be published as the product of the said project. After ending the talk of the said program, the tribes also mentioned their respective outreach program–promotion of the school, College of St. JohnâRoxas, especially the college department to other school, and tree planting was for the Tribe of Gad, while the Fun-Run partnering organizations such as Red Cross was for the Tribe of Benjamin. Before the dismissal, the two tribes agreed to discuss further in another time which ended the meeting at exactly 12:00 in the afternoon.
