You should arrive 15 minutes prior to your exam. If you are taking a morning exam you are required to attend lunch and afternoon classes. If you are taking an afternoon exam you are excused from classes at 11:30 and should proceed to Calvert for lunch. You will not have enough time to go off campus so if you don’t want to go to Calvert, bring something to eat from home. Students may not be dismissed until an exam has officially ended. Do not ask to leave early if you finish before the end of the exam. If you play a sport or have a job or other after-school activity, it is your responsibility to inform your coach or employer of your AP obligation and arrangements should be made accordingly. Morning exams end around 12:00 and afternoon exams end around 4:30, except for French and Spanish language and extended-time exams, which may take longer. Get a good night’s rest before your test, and don’t skip breakfast. You are allowed to bring a snack and beverage for your 10-minute break. However, eating is prohibited while you are taking an exam. It is advisable to bring a sweater or sweatshirt in case the room is chilly. You are required to abide by the policies of both the College Board and Casady School during the exam period. This includes the dress code. Any misconduct will be reported to the Dean of Students and to the College Board, and could jeopardize your AP Exam grade. AP Exam Terms and Conditions are available to review at cb.org/apexamterms. If you decide not to take an exam, please inform me as soon as possible so we don’t delay the exam by waiting for you. Sometime in the next few days please log on to your College Board page and make sure the email listed in your profile is one that you check regularly. If it is not, please update it. The College Board will use the address on file to send you the link to your scores in early July. Seniors, you should also indicate which college or university you would like to receive your free score report. To use your free score send, sign in to My AP, go to My AP Profile, select the Score Send tab and choose the college, university, or scholarship organization that you want to receive your score report. Make sure to do this before the June 20 deadline. Be sure to review the information on the College Board website and on your AP class pages. If you have any additional questions or concerns, feel free to contact me. Good luck!
