HEALING ROSARY FOR THE WORLD SHORT INTRODUCTION (The Rector or Parish Priest of the Church briefly welcomes the viewers to the church by giving a short history or background and invites everyone to pray for healing and protection for our country and the whole world.) OPENING HYMN: Immaculate Mother We pray for our country To you do we plead The land of our birth To ask God, our Father We pray for all nations For help in our need That peace be on earth Ave, Ave, Ave Maria Ave, Ave, Ave Maria In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. THE APOSTLE’S CREED I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; He descended into hell; on the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from there He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of Saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen OUR FATHER (3) HAIL MARY GLORY BE THE GLORIOUS MYSTERIES LECTOR: First Glorious Mystery: The Resurrection Luke 24:36-40 While they were still speaking about this, he stood in their midst and said to them, “Peace be with you.” But they were startled and terrified and thought that they were seeing a ghost. Then he said to them, “Why are you troubled? And why do questions arise in your hearts? Look at my hands and my feet, that it is I myself. Touch me and see, because a ghost does not have flesh and bones as you can see I have.” And as he said this, he showed them his hands and his feet. PRESIDER: Intention: We offer this mystery for the continued recovery of our country and the world from the crises brought by the Covid19 pandemic. We entrust to God’s Divine Providence those who have lost their jobs, those who struggle in their livelihood, and the teachers and students who strive hard to learn at this time. May our Lord Jesus lead us on this road of recovery and healing. (Every after mystery) THE FATIMA PRAYER O My Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of Hell and lead all souls to Heaven, especially those who are in most need of Thy mercy. LECTOR: Second Glorious Mystery: The Ascension Acts 1:6-11 When they had gathered together they asked him, “Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?” He answered them, “It is not for you to know the times or seasons that the Father has established by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, throughout Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” When he had said this, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him from their sight. While they were looking intently at the sky as he was going, suddenly two men dressed in white garments stood beside them. They said, “Men of Galilee, why are you standing there looking at the sky? This Jesus who has been taken up from you into heaven will return in the same way as you have seen him going into heaven.” PRESIDER: Intention: We offer this mystery for good governance in our country and the world. We pray to God, our Good Shepherd, to grant an upright conscience to our leaders so they can govern with accountability, uphold the truth, and combat fake news and historical distortion. May our Lord Jesus grant us truthful and trustworthy leaders. LECTOR: Third Glorious Mystery: Descent of the Holy Spirit Acts 2:1-4 When the time for Pentecost was fulfilled, they were all in one place together. And suddenly there came from the sky a noise like a strong driving wind, and it filled the entire house in which they were. Then there appeared to them tongues as of fire, which parted and came to rest on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in different tongues, as the Spirit enabled them to proclaim. PRESIDER: Intention: We offer this mystery for peace in the whole world, especially in Ukraine and Russia, and other parts of the world where war and violence exist. May nations learn to listen to one another, especially to the innocent and children who are most affected by wars. May weapons be silenced and the voice of God be heard so that peoples may live in true harmony and peace that only God can give. LECTOR: Fourth Glorious Mystery: The Assumption Luke 1:46-49 And Mary said: “My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord; my spirit rejoices in God my savior. For he has looked upon his handmaid’s lowliness; behold, from now on will all ages call me blessed. The Mighty One has done great things for me, and holy is his name. PRESIDER: Intention: We offer this mystery for the sick, especially those afflicted with Covid19, that God may give them strength and full recovery. We also pray that God may protect our front liners and those who care for the sick. May our Lord Jesus grant eternal rest to those who have died, and console their grieving families. LECTOR: Fifth Glorious Mystery: The Coronation Revelation 12: 1, 5-6 A great sign appeared in the sky, a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. She gave birth to a son, a male child, destined to rule all the nations with an iron rod. Her child was caught up to God and his throne. The woman herself fled into the desert where she had a place prepared by God. PRESIDER: Intention: We offer this mystery for the intentions of our Holy Father Pope Francis. We pray that the Church, the Body of Christ, may live out the synodal spirit of listening and cooperation. May we be inspired by Pope Francis in making our communities centered on mission. May the Holy Spirit fill the Church with the zeal for mission, particularly to the poor and those in the peripheries. MESSAGE AND FINAL BLESSING (The Bishop/Priest thanks everyone who joined the Healing Rosary and wishes them God’s blessings and protection.) CLOSING HYMN SOME REMINDERS: 1. May we request that the praying of the Rosary be done in English so that people all over the world who will watch can participate actively. 2. Ideally, we should only sing three hymns, one as opening, the Salve Regina, and a closing hymn. The opening Immaculate Mother can be sung in your native language. The closing hymn can be a locally known song in your place to our Lady. There is no need to sing every after mystery. 3. The Healing Rosary should only be 30-40 minutes long. See to it that the rosary starts at exactly 9:00pm. If you have a video presentation to show, please play them before 9:00pm while on standby so the rosary can start on time. 4. We encourage you to do a test broadcast at least a day before the Healing Rosary to ensure the video and audio feed are good. 5. On the day itself, make sure that you are already online on standby by 8:45pm, so as to gather more viewers. 6. The host is required to crosspost only for the Manila Cathedral Facebook page as the organizer, and TV Maria Facebook page as the official Catholic channel of the Archdiocese of Manila. All other Facebook pages are encouraged to share or create a watch party of the Healing Rosary. (Should the host be willing to crosspost to other Facebook pages, then it will be upon their discretion, and request should be directly communicated to them.)
