DO NOT use this equipment unless you have received proper instruction
in its safe use and operation
PRE-OPERATIONAL SAFETY CHECK
1. Inspect the pump and all connections to ensure they are tight and secure.
2. Ensure the bilge is free of any large debris that could clog the intake hose.
3. Ensure the pump is mounted securely in a convenient location near the bilge.

Position yourself in a stable position with your feet should-width apart.
Ensure that the pump handle is at a comfortable height and angle for pumping.
Insert the intake hose into the bilge, ensuring it reaches the lowest point of the bilge.
Insert the pump handle into the pump body.
Begin pumping by pulling the pump handle up and pushing it down in a steady, rhythmic
motion
Avoid over-exerting yourself when pumping, as this can cause injury or fatigue.
If you experience discomfort or pain, stop pumping immediately.
Continue pumping until the bilge is emptied to the desired level.
Remove the intake hose from the bilge and allow any remaining water to drain back into the
bilge.
Remove the pump handle from the pump body and set it aside.
Disconnect the pump from the hose, and store it in a dry and safe location.
HOUSEKEEPING
1. Rinse the pump and hoses with clean water and allow them to dry before storing them.
2. Periodically inspect the pump and all connections to ensure they are in good working
condition.
POTENIAL HAZARDS




Electric shock hazard if water enters the pump motor or electrical connections.
Strain or injury from over-exertion when pumping.
Cuts or abrasions from sharp edges on the pump or hose.
Slip or fall hazards from wet surfaces around the bilge area.
