With the guidance of my cooperating teacher, Mrs. Teresa T. Gallegar, I strived to cover all necessary topics and ensure the students' participation and cooperation. Narration of Activities Conducted: During the daily classes, I engaged the students in discussions and reviewed the topics they needed to know for the exams. We tackled the most challenging topics, and I provided them with examples and exercises to reinforce their understanding. I also encouraged the students to ask questions and clarified any doubts or misconceptions they had. Personal Reflections: Teaching these daily classes was an enriching experience for me as a future teacher. I learned that by providing a conducive learning environment, the students become more involved and participative in the class. It was also gratifying to see the students' progress as they became more confident in their knowledge and abilities. Moreover, working with Mrs. Gallegar gave me valuable insights on effective teaching strategies, classroom management, and assessment techniques that I can apply in the future. Overall, it was a fruitful week of learning and growth for me as a future teacher, and I am grateful for the opportunity to share my knowledge and skills with the students. GABIANA PRE-SERVICE TEACHER MRS.TERESA GALLEGAR COOPERATING TEACHER Week 5 APRIL 10-14 ,2023 Introduction: During the week of April 10-14, I had the opportunity to conduct a Summative Test for my Grade 8 students from Pearl and Zircon. The test was designed to assess their understanding of the topics we covered during the 3rd quarter in Araling Panlipunan. This experience provided me with a valuable learning opportunity as a future teacher. Narration of Activities Conducted: In preparation for the Summative Test, I conducted several days of review and recitation sessions with my students. During these sessions, we went over the important topics and concepts that could potentially appear in the test. On the day of the test, I followed the guidance of my cooperating teacher, Mrs. Gallegar, in terms of proper conduct and administration of the test. The test consisted of 30 items and was designed to assess their overall comprehension of the subject. Personal Reflections: Overall, this experience was both challenging and fulfilling as a future teacher. It allowed me to put into practice the teaching strategies and techniques that I have learned in my education courses. It was also a valuable learning experience for me as I observed my students' strengths and weaknesses in their understanding of the subject matter. This experience has further solidified my passion for teaching, and I look forward to future opportunities to continue growing as an educator. GABIANA PRE-SERVICE TEACHER MRS.TERESA GALLEGAR COOPERATING TEACHER Week 6 APRIL 17-21 ,2023 IIntroduction: This journal documents my experience as a teacher reviewing and preparing my students for their upcoming exams in April 19 and 20. As an educator, it is my responsibility to ensure that my students are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to perform well on their assessments. I approached this task with dedication and enthusiasm, aiming to motivate and inspire my students to excel in all of their subjects, with a particular emphasis on Araling Panlipunan. Narration of Activities Conducted: Over the course of several days, I led my students in a comprehensive review of the material that would be covered in their upcoming exams. I focused on the topics that were included in the summative tests, as these were likely to be the same as those included in the final exams. In addition to reviewing the material, I also provided my students with emotional support and encouragement, reminding them of their capabilities and potential for success. Finally, on the day of the exam, I hoped and prayed for each of my students to do their best, putting all their knowledge and skills to the test. Personal Reflections: Preparing students for exams is a significant responsibility, and it requires a great deal of effort and commitment. As I look back on this experience, I feel proud of myself for the dedication and enthusiasm that I brought to this task. Seeing my students perform well on their exams was incredibly rewarding, and it gave me a sense of fulfillment and accomplishment. At the same time, I recognize that there is always room for improvement, and I will strive to continue to improve my teaching skills so that I can better support my students in the future. After the exams, I had to assist in checking the answer sheets of the students and do item analysis, as well as recording their scores. Thankfully, our cooperating teacher Mrs.Gallegar has been a great help in guiding and supporting us throughout the process. Narration of Activities Conducted: During the week, my main responsibility was to help check the students' answer sheets, which involved going through each paper, marking the answers, and recording their scores. We also had to conduct item analysis, which helped us to identify the difficulty level of each question and determine the upper and lower limits of the students' scores. It was a time-consuming process, but it was necessary to ensure that the students received accurate scores. With the help of our cooperating teacher Mrs.Gallegar , we were able to accomplish these tasks efficiently. Personal Reflections: This week has taught me the importance of attention to detail and the need for accuracy when assessing student work. It has also made me appreciate the hard work that teachers put in behind the scenes to ensure that their students receive the best education possible. I am grateful for the opportunity to work with our cooperating teacher Mrs.Gallegar, who has been an excellent mentor and role model throughout this process. With the guidance of my cooperating teacher, Mrs. Gallegar, we conducted pre-tests, introduced new topics and engaged our students daily with lesson plans. It was a busy but fulfilling week, and I am eager to share my experience in this journal. Narration of activities conducted: During this week, my cooperating teacher and I conducted pre-tests to assess the knowledge of our students in Zircon. We also introduced new topics and held daily classes with the use of our lesson plans. The students were fully engaged and participated actively in class. We also monitored their progress and provided feedback and support as needed. Personal reflections: As I reflect on this week's activities, I am filled with a sense of accomplishment and gratitude. It was an exciting week, and I am grateful for the opportunity to work with such dedicated and talented educators. It was fulfilling to see the students' progress and their eagerness to learn. I am looking forward to the rest of the quarter and the new challenges and opportunities that it will bring.
